While a little morbid, I thought of a Diglett evolution line based on tombstones. They’d be Rock/Ghost types (an unused type-combination) and their names would be Gravelett and Gravetrio (or Gravelott, whichever you prefer).
The fairy type one is super similar to the regional bird line I made for my Kochantay region, where they are Catholic birds because they're cardinals, which is both a bird and a rank in the papacy. They're flying/normal though because they share the normal typing with Arceus due to their worship.
I love how some of these are convergent evolutions of Diglett and dugtrio, some of them are regional forms of Diglett and dugtrio, some are regional evolutions (like obstagoon), featuring duglott, but then there are also a few regional and convergent forms based off of duglott

Maybe every mushroom pokemon of each type? Every odd numbered generation have grass type, 2 stage line learning spore, based on mushrooms. All of them have diffrent secondary types. Bug, Fighting, Poison, Fairy, Ground.

I can see Outlott having a move kinda like spikes, but unlike spikes, it throws out lightning rod like needles and it boosts the range and power of it's own electric type moves and only their electric types moves and absorbs electric type moves from other pokemon and it raises its power a little bit.

My theory of how a convergent evolution works is that the Pokémon leaves it’s habitat into a habitat that is not just another place underground or another ocean. Diglett lives underground and wiglett lives in the ocean. Tentecool lives in the ocean, and toadscool lives in forests. See where I’m getting at? I came up with a concept of a poison type Soliosis, Duosion, and Reuniclus where they basically leave the cell they live in.
