    Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for. I’m using a pattern for a zigzag stitch that alternates rows of type 1 with rows of type 3. Boy is type 3 fiddly!

    • @EdieEckman
      @EdieEckman  Год назад

      Yes it is fiddly, but I'm glad I can help!

    I've used option 2 and the 2 strands at the bottom of the v gives a lovely texture

      @EdieEckman  Год назад

      Yes, it does. It's just a matter of choosing which look you want.

    I have seen another video that is very similar to option 3. Still holding the yarn in front for the 2nd dc, you enter the stitch from back to front. Makes it a bit easier to make the stitch and still looks very good. I love your videos and find them very helpful! Thank you!

      Yes, I've seen it done that way, too. Thanks for sharing, and for the kind words about my content!

    This is the best video on the internet for this stitch! I'm doing a mini basket and it looks so cute, thanks to you! But, I haven't quite figured out how to join the rounds, so looks a little funky in that section... I'm starting the new round with a Chain3 and then doing the "cross DC in the stitch behind, then moving forward with the next crossed DCs... Any chance you can give instruction on how to join the rounds? Thank you!!!!

    • @EdieEckman
      @EdieEckman  3 года назад

      Glad it was helpful! I'm not sure why it looks funky, but the end of the round is going to move a bit when you do it that way. Be sure you are joining in the top of the ch-3. You could also try using an alternate way to begin the round to see if that helps. www.edieeckman.com/2019/02/13/prevent-gaps-beginning-crochet-rows/

    What is s separate abbreviation of the thee? The crossed dc is xdc, but what is the abbreviation when making from behind, regular and from the front?

    • @EdieEckman
      @EdieEckman  2 года назад

      I don't know that there is a standard abbreviation. As in all crochet patterns, there needs to be a good definition of any technique, so you'd want to describe it as needs for that particular pattern. My pattern has me skip 2 stitches then dc & dc in back of that last dc into both skipped Drs. Still do the same only start with the farthest skipped stitch away?

    • @EdieEckman
      @EdieEckman  2 года назад

      Yes-do the first skipped st, then the second skipped st.

    A little too fast to follow the last example

      Sorry. You can always slow it down (got to playback speed, and put the speed at .75 or .5), or stop and back up to watch it again.
