  • The New Skidoo Summit issues continue on day two of our snowmobile trip in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We got the clutching issue fixed but of course, we had to run into multiple other new issues today with the Summit. Really starting to miss my Polaris right now.

I’ve been riding ski doo my whole life except in 95 when I bought an 800 storm and an Indy 500EFI. Loved them both i rode them for 2 seasons and back on the Doos. If your going to be riding the trails but like to get off trail to play around try any 137” that doo has in their line up you’ll have a blast. I ride a 2017 Renegade 850X and it’s a playful machine off trail and ROCKET on the trail or when ya wan to line up with someone. My top speed last season was 121mph in the quarter Mille. Heres what I think brother you should give a chance to a trail or crossover machine. Go rent one and try it out before ya buy it. I have a 2003 MXZ X 800R 121” as well that I ride on the regular as well I had the machine since new and it’s all original not even a set of rings. If that was a rental before you bought it get rid of it or you will have problems. GOOD LUCK Brother I hope it works out for you. 👍👍🇨🇦🇨🇦💪

I’ve owned mostly Polaris RMK’s and a Matrix sled over the last 15yrs and currently have a 850 turbo Doo 165. I’m amazed every year how much better these sleds get and how lucky we are to be able to purchase such awesome platforms. Until you learn how a sled operates please stop the bashing on the Doo, I’m embarrassed for you. Enough with the click bait and pouting that your going to sell it, just sell it! They dont ride when its dark in the mountains. Im sure that sled has 100 to 150 days of rental use on it. Every single person who rented it beat the living snot out of it. They pay more $$$ for the larger motor. Its a marvel that they havent had to replace the motor yet in it. But then again its ski doos fault. There is a reason that the rental fleets sell their sleds every year.

It sounds like it’s in limp mode. If temp is over 215 that’s what it is.. you can’t ride a mountain sled in no snow.. need a snow flap and ice scratchers. I can’t believe how snowmobile illiterate people are that make RUclips videos and ride them for years and years.. your sled is hot.. stop let it cooldown and get ice scratchers and take care of it. A Polaris Khaos with a 2.75 track would be worse or do the same in the same conditions. They come with ice scratchers and as long as you don’t get the slash it has a snowflap also. People don’t understand how much the snowflap splashes snow on your coolers and on suspension also.

Take that junk GGB can off, put the stock one back on and ride it. 10 bucks says it'll run better etecs are temperamental to backpressure changes. A lot of guys have issues with GGB cans.

Why do u buy mountain sleds when your trail riding ? You need a snow flap for cooling plus it's warm out minimal snow you need 2 feet minimum... you know why mountain sleds wheelie ??? They really don't the track spins in 3 or 4 feet of snow giving the illusion its wheeling its just digging down . Not the sleds fault . Plus why wouldn't you ride it first them customize it no snow flap is massive u have barely any snow cooling the exchangers
