- Hiii everyone~
So, I finally decided to delete TikTok this year because I was wayyy too addicted to the app😅 I documented my progress after deleting it and did a LOT of reflecting so I hope you can learn something from this video:)
FYI I'm not trying to spread hate towards the app, I'm just showing how social media apps can sometimes be damaging for our mental health so it's important to take breaks from them.
Thank you for watching and I'm sending you all lots of love❤️

I deleted it today. I was literally on that app around 4hrs a day. It's affecting my health. No more!
yessss slay!!! You made the right choice hehe:)
How is it going , is it still deleted
I never downloaded it and im glad i never did, it was automatically installed on my phone which i later deleted
did you download it back💀
Hey, so I deleted all my social media but I’m trying to delete tiktok again because I ended up getting it back. 😅 It’s because someone said “You can’t be an author without social media.” And I’m an up coming author so my book is almost here. Advice?
I’m very glad to hear that some people are getting rid of that app. It’s an app that wastes so much time. I’ve been so much happier since I deleted it. Like the minute I deleted it I felt free.
!!
i developed addictive behaviors on tiktok throughout quarantine. I could do so much more productive stuff but i literally spend up to 5h daily. I’m thinking about deleting for a while now but i just can’t smh. This is such an inspiration 💕
You got this!!! Instead of going straight to deleting the app, you can always limit yourself using the app (like use those app timer limits) and gradually use the app less & less 🥰
@@anchannnnn so if you put the app back is your acct the same or does it delete all data?
@@legacythone I think if you put the app back you can just sign in to ur account! Only drafts will get deleted, everything else should still be there
@@anchannnnn ok thx. I’ve had hackers on my acct and I’m getting a weird pop up constantly. I saw a post saying if I delete the app it should get rid of it. To be such a great app the security is horrible.
People on tiktok care about little things that nobody really cares about. Every month there's a name for new insecurities.. I know that the for you page is based on what you interact with but I always put "not interested" and it still doesn't work. I like the part of getting informations easily but for the most part it does more bad than good for your mental health
I deleted TikTok today, I was on it for hours a day on most days, and it really effected my mental health. On my FYP, it’s a lot of sad stories and peoples trauma. I realized that it’s not normal to process 20 peoples trauma in under 15 minutes. Not to mention how toxic that app is.. so yeah I impulsively deleted it. Hope I get good results.
keep updated!! i deleted it 2 days ago
That sounds like a good idea, I hope your mental health will improve☺️ it definitely worked for me so I hope it will work for you too:)
@@bellaren1145 Yeah It’s been a week now, I’m still not on it. Im not regretting my decision to delete it. I have slight cravings at times, even now, but not really. I’m not planning on going on it again anytime soon, I can say that much. I feel like i have more space in my head and I already feel a difference in my mental health.
@@thatchickencat4562 i feel the exact same 🫶 i really hope it goes well for you! i definitely get some "cravings" too, as if it's a drug addiction
@@thatchickencat4562 hey buddy you got any updates yet?
I don't own an iphone but the fact they asked THREE times if you wanted to delete it is lowkeyyy suspicous
hahahah ikr😜
it asks TWOtimes because the first one is "do you want to remove this app off of your homescreen or do you want to delete it" and then it actually asks if you want to delete, not three times
For me Tiktok just caused a lot of drama and was really bad for my mental health so I made the decision to delete TikTok and now I feel more free and happy and I can just live life to the fullest
I'm so happy for you!! That sounds good:)
I'm so proud of u I deleted it in 4 months and I feel sm better tiktok destroyed both my mental health and my brain fr I couldn't focus on anything or enjoy time with friends and fam lol
Ahhh yay I’m happy to hear that you’re feeling much better:)) and thank you☺️
i just deleted it a week ago! i’m
so happy i did
slayyyyyy I’m so happy for u:)
I just deleted the app I don't know why but I feel like I lost something I kinda feel nervous and anxious I guess I was really really really addicted but I should learn to live without it and right now I'm on my holidays so it's the best Apportonity for me to get rid of this addiction while I don't have to deal with exams and homeworks and focus on me more and my discovering myself
Yes that sounds good!! I understand how you feel but I know it will get better, I am rooting for you:)
I never wanted TikTok so it's great seeing everyone else quitting that App.
It’s been over a year since I quit the app, one of the best decisions I made :)
@@ballsinyourface419 it’s was so hard to delete TikTok,cause I was in it for 5 hours straight a week. And it ruined my mental health. But it was the best decision for me I just deleted TikTok today.
@@kitzsskiu I understand how you feel because I reacted the same way a year earlier, the first few weeks will be tempting but you’ll overcome these obstacles, I believe in you :)
I was never interested in that app even when I first heard about it.
@@forrestannis909 Same here.
I deleted tiktok the 18 of February and I don’t reject it I am so much happier without Tiktok
Yayy I’m so happy for you!!! I love that for us hehe
@@anchannnnn I am so happy for you aswell
That was me at first 😩
@@ChrisannaKemp hahaha and then what happened?
@@weare4795 did you download it again lol?
Deleting Tiktok was not easy
as I had over 1000 followers and friends who adored my content there
but I managed to do it.
We are so similar! Our results and how we felt throughout are almost the same. For me, on Jan. 1 i decided to delete insta and tiktok for 3 months. I didn’t stay with instagram, but tiktok was just so addicting for me. It’s been 2 months and I don’t think I’m getting tiktok back ever.
yayy twinning!! And wow yeah as long as you're happy then it's for the best:)
I've been using the app for roughly 2 and a half years. The first day honestly really tough considering I used it for for up 5 hours a day. I'm here to ask for advice and sorta check up on you. What did u do I the times u felt like u were missing out and did u re download?
i literally made a whole video on why everyone should delete tiktok
I deleted all of my accounts expect Pinterest. I love Pinterest. Social media makes me depressed.
ahh honestly that sounds kind of tempting!! pinterest is the best ✨
I’m not on tik tok anymore tik tok got boring after awhile ever since they muted the music its not fun anymore so i decided to delete it
I deleted today and I am happy bc my screen time was 9 hours from only tiktok but now it's only 1 to 4 hours And there's so much toxic stuff in there
wow that’s a massive improvement!! I’m so happy for you :))
Way to do the right thing.
Im done with the A.I of TikTok
wise words!
Hahaha aww thanks chummy:)
I intentionally watch videos like these just to feel good because i had the same benefits as well
i can't delete tiktok because i base my life on tiktok. i get all the movies recommendations, catch up on kpop news and get ideas of things i can do in my free time, also tiktok helped me to improve my mental health. psychotherapists i watched really helped me with the methods of dealing anxiety and traumas ;) well now i decided to have a timer for app 30 min a day.
P.S. I don't use social media like Instagram, Twitter so on, at all. Tiktok is the only app that eats my time.
that sounds good!!! I’m glad the app benefits you and you use it sensibly:) very slay of you 🤩
I finally deleted it yay ❤
I neve had Tik Tok but I had to delete Instagram and my mental health improved so much...
i kinda wish it would just be deleted from the app store altogether
hahaha 🤣
I only have TikTok and RUclips
I already deleted TikTok, Twitter, Insta, etc. and I've been wanting to delete RUclips over the past couple weeks, but what about my musicccc?!?!
ooh... that's a hard decision tbh ...
I never downloaded it and will never plan on downloading it
hahaha wise😌
@@anchannnnn 👌
I deleted TikTok two days ago ✌🏼
Ayyyy lemme know how it goes!! 🥳
I deleted it and everytime I'm on my phone I get the urge to open it loll
same
hahaha relatable
I’m so tempted to redownload it, I have been much more productive lately though… should I? 😬
Haha well it’s really up to you:) If you think you can use the app sensibly then go ahead! Otherwise you can always just download it during your holidays or something like that~
Any update? How have you been doing now without tiktok?
I've officially gone a whole year without tiktok!! I don't regret it at all:))) It feels good. But now Instagram reels are kind of addicting so I've been using apps that help me limit my use of social media 😅
@@anchannnnn that us good to hear. I have alsp reduced the amount of time I spend on insta and tiktok by blocking the notifications and taking them out of the home page. It really made a difference. Now in average I use insta less than 3h a week and tiktok around 4h
i wanna delete... but i have fomo
Mooood haha but trust me it gets better!! 😊😌
I just deleted TikTok today I feel great
Yayy glad u feel great:)
I deleted tiktok and it was the best decision ever, my life have gone better and spent more time on reading and studying 😸🫶
