Hello, Thanks for the detailed walk through.
You are one of the only ones to mention the length of the plugs vs thickness. On that topic, I wanted to know if you thought there was any issue on using plug length that is shorter than the board thickness? My board is 6cm but the plug options I am seeing are either 5cm or 7.3cm.
Also in alternate techniques, I saw one guy suggest heating a screw driver in a gas cooker before use, in order to seal the board as the hole is made, which I thought seemed like a good idea.

hey mate, glad it was of some help for you. as long as it's a standard plug size the 5cm plug should be fine in a 6cm thick board. most plugs don't screw all the way right up to the underside of the top plug anyway so you should be ok. if you wanted to try the 7.3cm yes just trim it down to suit you. AND as for the heated screwdriver trick- yes very handy ! especially for PE/Dow core boards as it can help keep water from entering the broken cells. Also good for sealing plug holes in PE deck skins on PP core boards for the same reason. as long as it's done safely and properly it's a great choice! i was aware of it and probably should've mentioned in the vid, so thanks for sharing! cheers and good luck -KS
