We surf skate all the time! We've got some videos on our channel. We've got the toledo 77 and a Penny one. The Penny one is tiny and has a crazy tight turning circle, the toledo feels more powerful if a surf skate can be powerful. They can definitely help you train surfing because you don't get that many moments to perfect turns when you're surfing, it's too subconscious and all happens too quick in the water - just like you said, "muscle memory". But, we think that surf skates go beyond surf training, they're heaps fun and a sport in themselves. Thanks for your review!

good to hear mate. i guess mixing it up between the two boards would help with versatility and drawing different lines, just like swapping between surfboards! yep they definitely help with nailing turns repetitively. and yes i can see how they would become more immersive and a way of life for some users, especially for those more landlocked surfers among us. many thanks for the positive feedback and input! all the best- KS

I bought the Nana, i think its a Sunshine coast company. So much fun, a serious workout and I take my dog alongside to give her a run as well. I did put the bigger 69mm wheels to ride over rougher roads...works a treat. Go out and get one!

Hey buddy allow me to give you a suggestion, you can release a little more that truck to be more loosing, I noted that is very tight. I have the YOW PIPE 32" and the truck came very loose from factory... very nice feeling. Keep Surfing Bro!!!

thanks! no worries. yep i felt it was a bit too tight as well, and loosened it until it was super loose then experimented/gradually tightened it back up until it felt good for me. Feels great now! how good are they hey. cheers mate keep having fun! -KS

After having the chance to try 3 different YOW models recently, I had to get one. I ended up getting the same model as you and it's been awesome. My other surfskate is a Carver with the C7 truck and I prefer the feeling of the YOW.

    I have a V4 S4 adapter. Can i change its S4 spring with S5 spring for a stable ride?
I am 65 kg. So what's the probability of S4 spring breaking in your opinion.
Appreciate your reply. Thanks in advance

hey mate, sorry for the late reply! i don't think i'm the best one to ask regarding this specific question, BUT by the looks of it, both the S4 and S5 spring will fit the V4 adapter. as for breaking, the website recommends 50kg and under, but sometimes companies UNDERestimate the handling capacity to play it safe for legal reasons etc, so you may actually be able to still use one at 65kg because that is still pretty light (at your own risk of course). hope this helps! cheers -KS

Is the riser pad on the back hard plastic or soft?

    • @kookshed

it's definitely not hard plastic, it's softer but not to the extent of being squishy. hope this helps

do you mean import taxes to America for these boards mate..? they may be pricey over there, but there are some other great brands like Carver that might be cheaper where you are? -KS

@@aullidop.1572 no worries mate, and great to hear from crew over there in Mexico! awesome. yes check out Carver and Smoothstar brands, there are others that might be worth a look for a good price too, so do a little research before buying. Also, Carver has different trucks available so double check that the trucks you get with the board are the right ones for you. good luck mate! cheers --KS
