In the virtual setting, we're not allowed on campus right now, but I've taken A&P101(3x), 102(2x) and 201(1x) by choice because I love the class. Some stuff that worked for me in lab: Find (online) or take photographic images of the anatomical structures in your lab, print them out with the labels crossed out, (keep a labeled copy in your computer or somewhere) then place the images into page protectors. Then, using dry erase markers, label the structures over and over. As far as lecture, I use the method that ViolinMD used in medical school. I read through the chapter, lecture notes or PowerPoint slides, whatever I'm trying to remember... I read it through once, then I try to write down as much as I can remember. Check myself against the information, see what I forgot then do it again. Usually within 3x of this routine I've got a good majority of it. ** With this method, take things in bites. Don't try to do an entire 60pg chapter at once. Take it in sections and make sure you understand the material on a deep level... Because simply memorizing the information won't help you in the long run. ** Dry erase boards are your friend if you are the type who needs to write things out, draw and don't need to keep the images etc.
Oh yeah, and I used Picmonic pretty heavily to keep some of the details straight. Like the cranial nerves and what they do. * I commented above on my other account. This is my school account, realized I forgot to mention picmonic and don't want to take the time to log out for just this little add-in. :-)
You know what I'm done in two weeks I worked so hard on this class. Many sleepiness night professor said I'm getting a B+.I'm gonna wear it with pride and get ready for part2!!Physical Therapist or buss.....
I failed my first test in my intro to anatomy and physiology class. I’m not a fast learner and I have a learning disability which sucks. And I am working full time which sucks. I want to become a nurse because being in the education field it’s not worth it anymore and I’m just not happy. I feel that becoming a nurse will open better opportunities than teaching. Kids are disrespectful and don’t take learning seriously. It’s been a struggle for me in this class and I am grieving all at the same time. I’m like am I smart enough to really be a nurse.
