Your so right Dr Mike.. I got 100% in my cardiovascular system because I would draw it, and then I sat my family members down individually and explained every aspect I learnt of the heart and how it worked. It helped me understand the information so much better
This is so helpful! My mind was blown when you said that when you repeat the lecture out loud and what you can't repeat back verbally is where the gaps in your learning are. This is going to help me so much from now on! I wish I knew this earlier on in nursing school
I am a teacher of anatomy and physiology at an Australian university college, and I have recently found this channel and implemented several videos into my tutorials. I love the way you explain things, and I'm sure the students love having a break from my voice. 😁 Oh, and to be honest I learn a few things I didn't know along the way as well lol. Thanks a bunch fellow Aussie! Anatomy and physiology is awesome!

I’m in A&P right now for my accelerated nursing program and they are cramming everything into 5 weeks and it’s so much information all at once. These tips will definitely help me out thank you so much!
This is the best tips studying physiology and anatomy so far thank you dr. Mike! I've been watching your videos for almost a year now and it really helps a lot.
That is such powerful info that I need the most help myself. I thought I am not smart enough to understand A&P. I just realized that I am a person who needs to follow 1-5 steps. Thank you, Doctor🙌
This is great! A&P is all feedback mechanisms and you have to learn to chart this stuff out yourself like you are the teacher. I used a dry erase board for A&P and it helped SO much.
hey ,if anyone else is searching for anatomy and physiology diagrams try Laophiaa Cranial Blueprint (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my colleague got amazing results with it.
Update: So I failed. Did I study six hours a day? Yes. But I did not flex my brain by recalling. I needed to draw concept maps not bullet points. I wont give up, I have another shot January 13 to take the class again. My goal is to become a Male Nurse.
I’m studying to be an EMT and am so glad I invested in an Apple Pencil. It has totally changed my notes! I can insert pics, or my favorite, insert the pic, trace it and put my own labels, then delete the pic. It’s so hard learning everything online though, I’m a visual learner so watching online lectures can only teach my brain so much. I’ve been loving the student forums to share websites, quizlet links, etc. RUclips has been a huge resource as well. Thank you so much for these tips!
Thankfully, the professors I’ve had for A&P have always incorporated illustrations into lectures and ask us the occasional questions to engage our information recall. My first one brought in models and did an activity based on digestion to demonstrate the importance of liquid, stomach acid, mastication, and the stomach’s muscle movements in breaking down food.
Initialy studying human anatomy may appear extremely complicated. It is tru?e that it's complex and your studies will not change that. As for being overwhelming, that can be eleviated if you take your study one step at a time. I discovered an article on Sebs Study Crammer extremely helpful for this.
Great video, Dr. Matt & Dr. Mike! Your tips on studying and passing Anatomy & Physiology are incredibly helpful, especially the emphasis on consistency and active learning. Best wishes from Easy Human Anatomy! Our channel simplifies anatomy topics to make them more understandable. If you're looking to strengthen your anatomy knowledge, feel free to explore our videos - we're here to support your learning journey!
That moment when you said "You all know I am not the best drawer" I was like, you are the best drawer 100%. I screenshot your whiteboard and add to my study, then attempt to re-draw and most of the time have to go back and forth to see how in the world you drew it (LOL)
I absolutely LOVE Australian accents!!! Best ever! Thank you for these videos!!! Need a better grade in both A&P... Thank you for your easy to understand and follow!
Thanks a lot sir for ur golden advice, I am definitely going to follow them in my soon coming 2nd year, for I am at the end of 1st year, actually exams

Im about to take a Dendrology course. It has been compared to A&P in terms of intensity. My midterm and finals are going to be a hallway of twigs and a blank sheet of paper. Hoping this advice will help 🤞
When I was learning about the thoracic and abdominal cavity in the beginning of the semester, I had a dream I was at my job(restaurant) and I had to go to the walk in fridge and grab some lemons. Behind a shelf was a deep freezer where we keep frozen meats and there hanging like cattle was the human torso cut coronally and you could see the posterior view of the abdominal and thoracic cavity just gutted out like a cow. So yes, you're still learning and processing when you sleep. 😂
My A&p class sucks. There is literally no work sheets or homework. So how im i suppost to test my knowledge? Theres no application process is what im struggling with. I bombed my first test.
Thank you ! I am going to try these tips ! I hope they work. I am so overwhelmed with the information I need to learn. Right now my study method is writing out my notes or typing and trying to memorize! It doesn’t work for me. The next day I can’t really remember what I’ve learned. I just don’t have any effective studying methods. So I am definitely going to use the tips you explained In the video. Is there a maximum number of hours we should study. I’m studying 4-5 hours a night when my kids go to bed. But it’s exhausting:/ not effective we’ll if the studying method I am using. But again thanks for this video !
These are extremely helpful tips and easy to follow! On a side note if he was my professor I would not have a tough time listening.. good grief he’s gorgeous with that James Bond accent.. BRAVO! 🤣🤣🤣

Hi Mike, do you have any note taking tips? When I only have a week to take notes and learn for 2-3 units at a time, I find note taking hard. Between 6 other classes, life and work, it is hard to find the time to take an extensive amount of notes or retain anything.
Anatomy is a difficult subject, especially for those of us that struggle with memorization.
