Getting this piece working technically itself is a nightmare and to add musicality to it, that's just serene. The melody sings perfectly. Even hilarys interpretation sometimes does not have the melody captured perfectly
The chord constructions are just hammered out like a machine with crystal-clear voicing. No compromises made. The melody in the bottom to middle voice at 2:07 is astonishingly clear; it's a horrendous spot to voice properly and most top-flight soloists fail to make it speak out above the hoofbeats. I think I'd prefer if you didn't slow down the Erlking's final lines at all (the tremolo part), but you're not nearly as big of an offender as some (nay, most!) others!

This man is much too large to play the Violin. Go the Viola or the Cello. Looks like you got a 1/2 size violin, what my 10 year old granddaughter is playing.
