    I just bought one. No doubt the best looking American car ever made and the most stylish of any car. Lincolns have the smoothest ride but i take the stellar show stopper XTS ANY DAY!

    Terrific video. I've got the first year of the XTS VSport, a 2014 Platinum model. I still get excited anticipating driving this car. It is nothing short of phenomenal. The interior is just gorgeous with nary a piece of plastic to be found. The 410 HP V6 is so quiet and scary fast! Car has been super reliable - and I live on a dirt road in rural Vermont. For the first time in my car loving life, I cannot think of an upgrade when this is worn out. Guess I'll get another one!

    I like it a lot. The only thing I’m lost on is if you are going to drop $75k on a Cadillac it should a t least come with button inside the trunk to close it and massaging seats 💺.

    • @bobbyyy.

      Leroy Pettaway The premium luxury and platinum models on the XTS get massaging seats it’s an option on the premium luxury and standard equipment on the Platinum

    Nice overview of a refreshed but otherwise aging chassis. For 75K, I would be looking at the CT6 with the 3.0 motor that is a new and unique design to Cadillac.

    You did a pretty good job reviewing the redesigned 2018 Cadillac XTS, but when you reviewed the trunk area, you stated that you could only open the trunk with the remote, not true Cadillac cleverly hid the trunk switch, integrating it into the crest emblem on the trunk. Press the emblem, once you have unlocked all doors, and the trunk opens.

    • @tydrives4846
      @tydrives4846  7 лет назад

      +Jesse Barnes You are correct. They hid it so cleverly I couldn’t find it lol. I should have thought about that because Buick also does that.

    Cool video, if Cadillac got rid of that funky lil chrome chip in front of the front doors, and make that chrome over the doors one piece. This car is great but just those chrome pieces break up the sleek look and also when they get misaligned it makes a car look cheap..

    • @patrickb3032
      @patrickb3032 6 лет назад +2

      N&T Auto Reviews That's just ashame, not quite sure why they decide to do that. I mean, for the amount of money you are paying for that vehicle, that should be a standard feature, no question what so ever. Same goes for a lot of modern day cars, Cadillac is certainly not the only one to lack in this category. It may seem like something that doesn't matter to most, but at least for me, it really does affect the overall design and appearance that gets displayed, and not in a good way. This choice is one that I have yet to understand.

    This is a beautiful car but $74 thousand dollars is way to much for any car or truck. My grandmother had a '72 Fleetwood Brougham, now that was a luxurious car, it puts any luxury car of today to shame. If I was to spend $74 on a car, it better have a smooth and quiet ride, i don't want to feel a bump or crack in the road nor do I want to hear road noise from the low profile tires. Also, there should be a way to disable the Stop/Start system.

      If you’re talking about the brown stuff on the undercarriage of the car that is residue from welding. Don’t worry there’s no rust on this car haha.

    Meh....The front and rear fascias are decent, but the lack of updates to the powertrain and interior design make it less valuable compared to its newer Buick LaCrosse sibling.
    Great overview by the way!

      +Jamel Moore The XTS should be getting replaced within a few years. It’s been out for 6 model years so far.

      Jamel Moore you sound as if you're biased UN favor of the Buick compared to the Cadillac. Cadillac is the luxury division of the General for a reason. the XTS is way beyond the Buick in every area of luxury, technology and all areas of comfort and prestige. Buicks are nice, but will never get close to Cadillac in any are of automotive comfort. the Lacrosse isn't a luxury car, it can be equipped to be extremely comfortable, but even fully loaded it can't come close to a base model Cadillac of any model.

      Lack of powertrain updates? Only cadillac offers the 3.6 twin turbo motor. Only 3 of them get it.

      THE XTS DID SO WELL THEY DECIDED TO KEEP IT AROUND...HENCE THE "MILD" REFRESH.....WHY WOULD THEY CHANGE WHAT HAS BEEN WORKING SO WELL FOR SO LONG.?

      I understand your points, but the fact that Cadillac didn't bother to move the XTS to GM's newest E2XX platform, which is lighter and better engineered, shows they have no intention to elevate this car to where it needs to be. Not to mention the fact that the XTS still uses GM's old 3.6L V6 and their 6-speed, while the new LaCrosse features the 9-speed. So to me, the LaCrosse just presents itself as the better overall value for a large GM FWD sedan; nothing personal against Cadillac. In fact, I'd rather they improve the CT6 and make that the true ultra-luxurious flagship it's supposed to be!

    1/14/18, Overpriced Cadoo....I had a 2002 DTS, new, $57k w/tx/det. For $75k you'd think they'd give you a full-size spare. Oh yeah, get an hydraulic jack instead of that cheap thing that comes w/the car. $22. in K-Mart 16 years ago. Still works. Better yet: get smart, save some (lots of) money, I now have a Ford.

    Meh. I have 13 XTS platinum and literally almost nothing is different than this other than touch ups. I think tag price for these models are not bad but boy, try to sell them. You will be given no more than 30 grand max.

      rubiks15 This is just as reliable as any Lexus, build quality in this XTS is just as superb, except for it looks better and drives better than any Lexus of this size or similar dimensions. You live and learn.
