Thank you for this information. I have never encountered a school that requested application fee in all my experience with schools in the UK, (England and Scotland though). It will be good to know the ones that require admission processing fee if you don't mind. It could help members of our community
@@babayochristy4704 Ok. I know University of Manchester for being tough on test of English requirement. Never knew they also require payment of admission fee. Thanks for sharing. For PTDF sake, one can consider multiple options of schools and avoid some schools if there is no money for payment of admission fee. You have added to my Knowledge and I hope someone watching letter finds this engagement very useful. Thanks once again.
Thank you for this video. Do you have an idea of when would we hear from PTDF this year. Literally 5 weeks to resumption in UK and schools are really pressuring for scholarship award letter
Thank you for watching. I have no idea of when the list will be out. We all expected it to have been realized by latest in July but keep hope they will certainly release it
Congratulations on winning the scholarship. Very happy for you. You may consider other schools or January resumption. But could you provide further insight on the university you would like to apply to?
@@Asat4u Thank you ASAT. I was to apply for HS Bremerhaven in Germany but they had an application fee at the time and so I couldn’t go through with it. I don’t know if I can change to some other university still in Germany (Germany is the country of my award) or even a different country altogether
@@nwachiikechukwu You should be able to choose any other school in the PTDF list for Germany. I think in some cases they can allow you change to France or Malaysia but not to the UK. They seem to classify the other three countries as one group and the UK as a different group. But changing school within your award country should most likely be easier than changing to a different country. Don't be too much in a rush though , the scholarship will remain valid for an entire year. You can move in January if September doesn't work. Congrats once again. Please subscribe and share the channel to your friends and on the PTDF scholarship thread on Niaraland. It will help our efforts. Thanks and best regards
@@Asat4u thank you very much. I just subscribed. Do you guys have an email or WhatsApp contact where I can reach you if I have any enquiry? This will really help me in my preparation an other aspects of the scholarship
It doesn't matter. You choose either of the two and inform PTDF. I travelled from Lagos because I had to finish up a job for my office in Lagos. If you are close to Abuja, I personally prefer the Abuja airport to Lagos. I have used both on different occasions and the experiences are different.
That has been the experience in the last couple of years with PTDF. They might change it in your set but that is what it has been at least in the last two sets. However, when they start paying, they back date to cover the month you arrived your country of study.
Hi can I apply for an admission in any university the uk before applying for the ptdf scholarship or should I apply for the scholarship first first. Which do you think is better. Also do I need to be of working class in order to apply for a ptdf scholarship. I just finished my NYSC and I'm hoping to apply.
You don't need to be a working class to apply. You can apply now that you have your NYSC discharge certificate. Concerning application for admission, I will encourage you to apply ahead of the scholarship or just anytime before the awardee list comes out. In the past, they don't award any special points to those that have admission but it just kind of fast tracks your journey to the UK after you win the scholarship. Sometimes the scholarship award list comes out very close to resumption and those who waited to win the scholarship first may not be able to meet up. Good evening and best wishes.
The bond form and acceptance forms are between you and PTDF and doesn't really have any links to your university.. As much as possible, try to accept the scholarship and sign the bond within the stated deadline..You can still be applying for admission even after the induction. You have a validity period of one year for the scholarship
Thank you for watching. The need for Covid test is dependent on the situation of Covid at the time of your travel. But if it is required like in my time, you will have to pay for the test yourself or take the vaccination. But there is no vaccination requirement for entry into the UK at the moment. This might change just keep an eye on the news.
Goodday. Great video. Please i want to enquire if ptdf has people that stand as agents that can help in admission process in these foreign universities.
They don't really have but you could get some calls form current or former scholars who might be able to help you after the selection process. I think some of them have some form of partnership with certain universities in the U.K but with or without them securing admission shouldn't be too difficult. Again, you should also be careful so that you don't get persuaded into choosing a school or city you don't find very interesting,
Certainly, you can't apply for visa without a valid passport. I recommend you have one that has sufficient enough validity to cover your study period. Admission will also require a valid passport.
It is usually a maximum of 15 working days. There is a faster track called express I think. However PTDF doesn't pay for express processing. You could discuss that with the Visa agent but I will rather discuss with the school to allow me enroll online than pay the extra amount for express visa.
If you are coming for a masters, you may also watch our video on the Chevening scholarship. It is also a very good scholarship and there is no harm in having multiple options.
It will depend on the school you wish to go to. Some schools should have probably closed applications for September entry. But you should just check and try to engage them through emails and see what comes up. These days, one can enroll and resume remotely while you continue to process your visa. But if it becomes tight, January start might not be a bad option. You get the Summer Holiday during which you can work full time but the down side is, the summer holiday elongates the masters programme to about 18 months instead of 12. Anyhow it works, your PTDF scholarship will be valid for an entire year. Which means you will still have the scholarship even if you resume September next year. I hope this helps. Stay tuned for the next video on life in the UK as a PTDF scholar.
@@Asat4u thank you so much for your response. Your point is very clear. I got a conditional offer with university of Birmingham for September. I'm optimistic about the PTDF scholarship. Still waiting to see how it works out. Im also trying to apply for January opening too
@@ifeanyionyike9286 You may not need to apply for January except you are considering a different school. Usually, they will let you differ very easily if you are not able to meet up with September. I really don't know but you could check the websites of your selected schools, Don't just go to a school because it is open. Consider good quality and the location of the school
Like i mentioned there is s series of events that will take place from getting the scholarship to getting the visa. The speed will be determined by multiple factors. You really can't make much progress without ATAS. Additionally, consider writing a mail to your school to confirm if they will let your resume online before coming over.. The scholarship is valid for 1 good year
