Hi. in case you didn't find out the clicking problem on the 2002 windstar when u turned the heat on, it was the motor to the heat. When the motor fails you will hear clicking. My 2000 windstar did the same thing. the heat won't work until you pull the radio component out and replace the blend motor that controls temps.
I have an 03 windstar SEL(happily) and it runs so well! I had it since it was new and everything in it is stock! You can always trust your Windstar( if you take care of it well...)
I have the 99 windstar. Love the van!!! They used a 3.8 mustang engine has very good power. I never had engine problems or replaced anything for it except the belt which is something that wears out over time anyway, and a battery. Still have it and still runs strong!!! I installed a KnN air filter, true dual cat back exhaust with flow masters, made a big difference. Funny to watch peoples faces when a van beats them!!! I love the van and keep it looking good, and will be doing more performance stuff to it. Yep I said a 99 173k miles and still running like a champ!!!!
I SERIOUSLY want one of those so I can LS swap it. it would make the ultimate sleeper. Pretty much the last car you'd expect to be beaten by in a race. Wouldn't do any cosmetic modifications to it though
I had a nice Windstar SE 2001 but it got left half way to Illinois in a parking lot with a dead transmisson my parents bought a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport and it is nice my mom has a SUV and my dad has a Ford ranger
@@fordmustang98guy nope its long gone, my dad got rear ended by a heating oil truck back in late 2010, he bought a 2011 Ford Explorer limited early 2011 and it’s still drives like new 10 years later
@@joskjj3625 oh he does not have his van anymore oh darn this was a while back in 2010 that’s a long time ago when that happened but did he buy his Windstar new in 2001?
@@fordmustang98guy no he bought it used back in 2003, it started its life as a rental vehicle, he bought it in late 2003 for 7,000 usd, drove it for 7 years, other than a broken armrest the van has been flawless
+fordmustang98guy Mine is a LX, I don't need or want the other fancy crap, just more crap that could break. I love the base, and it is fast, see my comment at top.
I know this is old, but... That sounds like the blend door clicking. The motor in the actuator is probably about to go out. I could hear mine before it died. It sounded like a heart beat. When it finally stopped...I no longer had heat.
My sister had a 2001 Windstar and oh she hated it it was the next to the top of the line (SEL) nice as hell too she was going to pass it on to me until the engine committed suicide on her I believe it was the 3.6 Essex then a deer basically took it out.
ha ver si alguien puede decirme si se puede colocar un Sensor de aparcamiento a pesar de que la distancia de 50 centimetros del suelo sea un poco inferior debido a la estructura de la defensa Trasera muchas gracias saludos
My dad had a 2000 windstar lx I have so many memories in the van and it made me fall in love with Ford

That “clicking” noise is the fucking blend door actuator

“Can always trust your Ford!” *rear axel breaks and car crashes*
And clicking noise from adjusting temperature.
Go drive a junky honda or Nissan with paper transmissions then
6:46, that noise is a sign that this van probably needs to be serviced.
Sounds like the upper intake clicking.
It was not the upper intake clicking it was the climate control when the temperature when it is on the cold side
