I do have a box of several flatware patterns I need to figure out how to find out what they are called AND figure out pricing so this has been very helpful. I also have been wanting to do, but scared to try to figure it out, how to do a variation listing so thank you for all of this.

Thank you! Very well explained and I will give this a try. I’ve only one question on shipping. Will eBay charge the base amount multiplied by the number of items selected? Someone will not buy 12 items and be charged only the amount for 1. I hope this makes sense. Thank you for sharing.
Yes if you have calculated shipping it will be based on weight. Another option is to do free shipping and build the cost into each piece.

Perfect timing, I have some Cuisinart food processor parts and Nutri Bullet parts that I was thinking of doing variation listings for and was going to research it. I also have a few boxes of Pokemon cards but that too much to think about just now 😊, I know nothing as bout them. Once the listings are live and maybe you have sold a few down the line, I vaguely remember someone saying that you can't end this listing and selling similar, is that the case and can you explain this more?
I would think that would be tricky getting the quantities right. I just let them run. When a purchase is made, the listing gets a boost.
Can you make a variation with existing listings already?
Not sure you can edit and add variations….hmmm..I think you’d have to end it and start over? My brain would want to do that anyway. I’ll check when I can!
My listing screen does not show "Variations." Do I need to enable a preference or did I miss a step?
What category are you trying to list in? Some categories don’t support variations.
@@pishposhreselling Oh - yes. I'm in Salt & Pepper Shakers in Collectibles > Kitchen & Home > Kitchen Tools & Gadgets. Is that it? They're similar but not the same brand.
@@CynthiaCamelbackTrunk that's probably it. I've run into that before where I thought I could do a variation but the category didn't have them.
