LOVE flatware Friday!! Thank you for starting it. In the south, it was a tablespoon, and the dinner knife was a case knife (because it fit in the the silverware case/chest).

I call the larger spoon Oval Soup Table Spoon in the title but call it oval soup table dinner spoon in the item description under SET INCLUDES. I include the measurement 3 x as well. You don't have to choose since you have ample opportunity to call it by all possibilities.

I believe that a lot of this is regional. In the South, it's a tablespoon. Adding the measurements is good for clarification.

i just found you. Don’t worry if you don’t have time to answer. I bought 6 salad forks together. The look and size are identical. 3 are marked Palma Denmark stainless 18/10 (looked up maker as selandia). 3 are marked the same except missing Palma. Could they both be same pattern maker. I plan on listing separatly but just wondering about the different markings. First I thought they were Dansk but their pattern is called Bur Palma which is very similar.

That packaging video was a real eye opener for me. Id have thought the saw would have needed much more protection given what horrors the USPS can inflict on packages. Id have wasted so much time and materials, now I know better. So glad you shared that on, thanks to you both.

Thank you for the video, plus packing a saw! When you do teach your son, maybe video it (if he happens to be ok with that). It would be incredibly informative, I think. I have a teen boy, and I know he’d never let me film him learning and put it on RUclips, so I get it off he shoots down the idea (or you don’t even bring it up with him cuz it would cause anxiety).

I learned a hard lesson this week. I listed 8 spoons as dinner spoons so not to confuse with iced tea spoons. BUT I have a return coming back because she said they are not dinner spoons but tea spoons!! Changing my listings to show ALL measurements and watching my wording. Thank you for all your info! 😊

Thanks for all your good information. My question is related to selling sewing patterns. I have found several Kathy Neal infant toddler patterns. They are the heavy paper pattern. They are uncut. I assume that the previous owner traced them on heavy tracing fabric. They are excellent condition. On eBay do you put them as used but uncut or new other? Thanks.

I grew up with hearing that a place setting was a knife, a salad fork, a dinner fork, a teaspoon, and a tablespoon (the larger oval). Soup spoons (round bowls) were additional/extra finishing pieces along with serving pieces. I hadnt thought that any of the spoons went by other terms. Thanks for all this new info that I will try and keep in my brain that is becoming more sieve-like every day.

Absolutely no reason to break the box down at all. This zero sense at all! Just grab a carton resizing tool. Adjust tool to where you want box scored. Score the box with the tool and cut the outside corners of the box down to the score marks with a pair of all steel scissors. Scissors are faster and sager than a box cutter. Of course resizing a box is your last resort. You should be stocking hundreds of free boxes form local stores so you don't have to resize boxes 99.99% of the time. Why all all the boxes disassembled and turned inside out? No reason to do that. Just cross out the existing text on the outside with an extra wide marker.

this actually costs you money, even by the minimal wage time cost $7.25 per hour is $0.73 for 6 minutes that took to make the box. Way more expensive than wholesale box price.

This was great! Thanks so much for sharing both methods. Lately my boxes that I cut down are made with so much tape its ridiculous, lol. I dont have much room to work but the second method will be doable. Thanks again!
