Great Video! Always wondered what the points were for on the Hudson Bay blankets.! I'm currently selling a Beacon Southwestern blanket with some little moth holes, got an offer for $70 that I'm pondering. You hit all the brands I know of and then toped it off with new ones like Croscil, and surprising 80s-90s blankets. ♥
Croscill still manufactures comforters (I have one currently on my bed) and I bought another one on eBay a few years ago (same style) to have when mine wears out. I personally really like them. They are very well made.
Loved this video. I have sold several quilts, blankets, throws. They are inexpensive usually. Fun category. Shipping is tricky with big ones! One of my favorite categories.
I sold a matelasse bedspread on Etsy in one day for 69.00 I believe. And I had gotten it with a pile of other blankets and had not even looked at it to lay for months. I finally washed it, laid it on my bed for pics, listed it, and sold the next day. 😊
Thank you for all the information. I watch all the videos but this one was awesome. I sell blankets every day and love it. Easy shipping and the feedback you get is wonderful. Crown Crafts is an easy tapestry type that sells quick and bigger satin trim waffle sell fast too
❤blankets. Sold them all the way to $225. Also woven throws have sold up to $200 for me. My savers doesn’t seem to up price blankets yet! I’ve sold San Marcos. Pendleton also has national park blankets that were used in their lodges in the 40s. I’ve sold those too. ❤cats😀 great video! You can tell a good tapestry by the feel. Nice and thick is a start
Welsh I believe are known for sheep and their quality wool. Our family raised sheep for generations in Idaho and that’s some of the info I recall, also they are no doubt gifted craftsman’s !! Think I also better research
Growing up in the 60s as a child, everyone had hudson bay blankets. I know my younger sister went through a phase where she was thrifting ceramic pie plates and hudson bay blankets so i need to start searching for hudson bay blankets. Im loving doing flatware. I just made another sale this morning.
I need to get some blankets listed. I stopped picking them up because I find them a chore to list. Cleaning, photos etc. I recently found a Pendleton Beaver State throw in a SW pattern at a church rummage sale for $5 in perfect condition. I’m embarrassed to say I probably have at least one of most brands you mentioned including a vintage Winnie the Pooh comforter 🤦♀️
I always learn from you! I have actually had some success selling granny square afghans, and also more modern ones, such as Boll & Branch and Anthropologie. And they have sold fast!
One of the very first items I sold was a flannel Laura Ashley sheet that was faded-I don’t remember just how much but it was a lot more than I expected!

Awesome! Thanks for watching!
I always look at the baby blankets. Winnie the Pooh sells really well!
Makes me wish I kept all my son’s Classic Pooh from 2007. It’s selling well too!

I just saw some shams and curtains yesterday at the thrift too- first time I’ve noticed. They were priced too high but quality did seem nice.
I love my croscill comforter ❤️

Great!!
I don't normally look in this area though maybe I will now.
I have to remind myself to look closer! Sometimes I just scan quickly 🤷🏼♀️
Found Hudson Bay blanket for $5.99 at the local thrift store 🤗 Had no idea what it was but almost fell over when I looked it up 😲👍🏻
Wow!! That’s amazing!

Oh good to know! I think I came across that name while researching- I’ll look closer!

I would have never guessed about Beacon cotton in violet and lavender. Wonderful research
I’m just glad to know the cotton is worth as much as wool! Wouldn’t have guessed!

I love your laid-back, and incredibly informative style! Nice grab on the Winnie the Pooh receiving blanket and onesie!
Thanks so much!

Oh good to know about modern ones to keep an eye out for!
When You said something special at the end, Morgan balloon blankets was my guess!
Yay!!🎉🎉 it’s so surprising what people will pay for sometimes!
I would love to hear about candlewick and matlasse throws and coverlets😊
Bates is a good brand to look for in this category.
I’ve thought of about 5 more categories that I didn’t even touch lol. I’ll have to do a part 2 😂😂
@pishposhreselling yay!!!
New to me! Thank you!!
Awesome! You’re welcome!
Bates coverlets and bedspreads can also be worth taking a careful look.
I will look those up! Thank you!
Thanks for the lesson! I also did well selling a chenille bedspread.
Yes!! One of the categories that flitted through my mind but didn’t have time for. Did yours have a picture on it?
I tried but i cannot figure out out how to send a photo. I kept trying to do it as a video. But I could send that either.
@@kathyaxton7096no I just meant was there a design on the bedspread? Like sometimes there’s birds or whatever

Right? Love those surprises!
I sold a Star Wars Pendleton crib blanket for $100.
Whoa! That’s amazing and who knew such a thing existed 😂😂
Afghan rescue!
😊😊😂
I’m not familiar with most of these brands. I just don’t see very many wool blankets down here in the south. I do see a lot of homemade afghans.
Ah I could see that! I’m up in the wilds of Montana so the cabin look is very popular!
I sold a Pendleton throw pillow recently and it had damage. I had paid $15, sold for $50. Disclosed the damage (which I hadn't seen before buying it).
Some people will repair or not mind the authenticity lol

You’re like me! Linens and fabric go into that black hole! Total mental block!
