Wow, they're really pumping these guys out! I do love me some end-cab switchers... That chuggy growl of the exhaust of a roots blown 645 is one of my favorite sounds, I wish it was more pronounced in the default sounds. Thanks for sharing, as always!
The CSX one is apparently: Serial 777032-7. #1: SCL 4206 #2: SBD 4206 #3: CSXT 1176. Here in the valley in L.A. we had those SP units working for many years after the merge. They'd work out of Gemco yard and hit the Budweiser plant, and also hit some places in Burbank and up the Saugus line. But they didn't stay like that for long. Most power gets covered in graffiti now.
4:19 Love how you said that more Modern wide cab you do know the first American wide cab unit released in 1969 ha-ha better known as the UP DDA40X unit were the first Wide cab units. That's not considered modern ha-ha. It may never happen getting the Conrail brand name as Conrail stopped Licensing there name out as of 2/7/24 as before they were strict about it, just a heads up for you as we may never see Big Blue skin liveries ever again. Is it me or do the noses look really pointy shape to high looking from the front?
The devs need to add some more horns. You can never have too many horns, besides, variety is important in any Train Simulator, especially considering that a lot locomotives were fitted with various horns.
At 9:12 you say there are no MU ports on the SP unit. They're there, they stick up above the pilot to the left of the ditch light

If you're on the R8 enhancement discord someone uploaded bit better sounds
@@schnauzahpowahz Yeah, I've been using them, they do sound a little better, but only marginally.

Thx for the info. Shame about graffiti, easy way to tell if something is pre/post 1980s
We need some patched D9's! And it would be cool to see the SD70's come in with all the variants, since all RR's in Run8 had some form of an SD70M.
I agree, or instead of the 70m they could add in the SD60 with a BN and UP triclops variation

I agree that the CSX YN2 is a lot better paint scheme than the YN3, Thanks for another great review.
CSX 1176 is from the SCL era it’s former SCL 4206
The CSX ones would look better if they had the beacon to help simulate RCL operations.
I bought this instead of actually buying the game😅 now i aint got money left to buy it, but at least i got the ex BN patch unit
Can you show me how to download the SS NS SD70ACU
And do you have to have the rolling stock pack 02 and if so, can you show me how to download it?
Buy it
Still waiting for a Conrail unit.
Oh for sure. Completely forgot about big blue...
West End Simulations just released one
@@WSOR6604 😃
God, those models do not look good IMHO.
They're passable in most aspects, but that long hood/roof cap is painful
