We have a plan for Saco to Gobel as well as another UP gap.😉
Real quick though: originally this was gonna just be the BNSF line, but due to the close proximity of the two lines, we couldn't really keep them separate projects. Also, Stockton is almost the railroad-LA of the central valley which is why we had to split the lines where we did on the north side. So for now we have a gap.

The missing tower in Fresno somehow snuck past us. It's a model we all have (therefor we all saw it in beta) but i somehow forgot to add it into the installer. Easily fixed probably on Monday.

And justa bit more Run8 inside-baseball: we actually don't have anything against UP, it's just the Bakersfield Sub got built years ago because it also has the Amtrak operation, so it made more sense to build that line vs Saco-Gobel. BNSF also has quite a bit more traffic.

@@johngreenstone5245Thanks for the new DLC. I live and work in Merced. Where I work, both BNSF and UP are just city blocks away from me and I see a lot of traffic on both lines. Fixing that gap between Saco and Goble would be huge. Looking forward to Modesto to Stockton then Stockton to Roseville.

Awesome Video! As someone who's lived in Fresno my whole life, I can say that with this route, and the BNSF Bakersfield sub makes me extremely interested in Run 8, especially considering that there are no routes on ANY of the other Train Simulator games that cover this portion of this route in California. My only few gripes from viewing this video are that some of the scenery is very inaccurate in many places, especially in Fresno (though knowing the reputation this game has regarding graphics, that is to be expected), the Amtrak San Joaquin rolling stock being incorrect (really hoping the team at run 8 gets to release a pack with the F59PHI and Bi-Level Coach cars, or even the newer SC-44 locomotives with the Venture Cars would be nice too), and the fact that this portion of the STOCKTON SUBDIVISION only up goes to Modesto but not STOCKTON (I don't think it would've been that difficult to create a couple more miles down the line to Stockton) but other than that, the fact that this route and the Bakersfield sub even exist in someway shape and capacity as a native Central California Citizen makes me really excited to play Run 8.
I'm going to wait a while to purchase run 8 though until after the MBTA Commuter route comes out for TSW5 since that is supposed to come out soon, since that's a route I'm excited for in that game series.
Edit: At 13:40, yes it is pronounced "Fig-garden", and yes in real life there is indeed a tree in the middle of that specific lake. You're welcome ;)
Edit 2: After doing a bit more research on this route for Run 8 and watching a different playthrough of this route, I noticed that the Hammond spur, the siding that is used at the north end of the BNSF Bakersfield Sub route for AI trains to spawn which in real life is a still active industrial portion of the now abandoned Clovis branch, is completely missing. Given that this route seems to be obsessed over industrial spur lines that are scattered around this route, the fact that this isn't in the game completely is very disappointing to say the least. But overall, I have to say that this route in general, regardless of this criticism that I've noted, does still keep my interest in purchasing this game.

I haven’t really gotten into Run8, but this is pretty cool! And the day they add the Stockton-Roseville section is the day this becomes my favorite train sim.

I live just 18 miles north of where the UP Fresno Sub ends here and I am loving it! I am familiar with this part of California and there are a lot more trains that come thru here, at least 18-20 a day and they say that it is only going to more busier when UP expands their intermodal yard in Lathrop.
I can't wait until Run 8 reaches Stockton. There will be so much to do there with the Port of Stockton where ocean going ships (Panama Class size) serve, two rail yards (BNSF and UP), TWO SHORTLINES, the CCT and the Stockton Terminal and Eastern, a major rail crossing with the UP and BNSF ( which they are getting ready to build a major grade separation just like Colton Crossing).

Well there is hope that one day the Roseville sub and the rest of the socal routes will be connected. Hopefully we can get the rest of UP's Fresno sub down to Bakersfield. Just when you think Run 8 will go on a long hiatus like what happened in 2020 all the way to early 2022 when V3 was released they drop another piece of content. Since V3 has been out the devs have steadily release content once every 1 to 3 months now. Hopefully they can update some of the older rolling stock like the GEVOs and FMC boxcars for example. Like what they did with the 50ft box cars a while ago. While Run 8 has some minor things that bug me, is still the best.

Nice Route, I'm not really into West Coastlines No tree's sand look really kills the whole mood for me, trees and green grass with mountains is my Jam. I've noticed a lot of the building assets on this route are actually Trainz assets good example is 50:24 all the tanks and the red roof warehouse and Trucking warehouse with all the dock bays is a total straight port of Trainz 2006 assets still nice, understood all these railroading games now a days share asset with each other.
Those Rail Rover machines are strange as they don't operate the way you would think, I've been on 4 of them in the last 20 some years and everyone that I've been on blows my mind of how odd they are to operate as the driver sits sideways in them, and there really slow moving feels like driving old school army tank mostly and top speed on them is 15mph and that's pushing it, I know not meant for speed as they only Maintenace units but still odd.
To speak frank, I'm really Waiting for Live Stream 😂 been some time since last on
