There's out out around Hamlin as well. I haven't been there, but friends tell me about it. I usually go to where the old city pool was, or the big park on the other side of 64.
Behind the gun/pawn shop, right? I went there when it first started getting cold out before winter. My first time on a track and maybe like my fourth or fifth time driving my rustler. I eventually got tired of walking down from the driver's stand to flip it back over, lol.
I’m excited. Could feel your excitement through the screen! Ha. From everything I’ve seen it can jump and flip as well as the other 1/8 and has more precise handling - less oversteer than an exb like mine. BYW I love comparison videos. Not many saying the sledge is like the 1/5 Kraton. Just the 1/8. But I look forward to watching it all the same! Ha.
It's the only new traxxas in years should be the title. Can't wait to try one out. Gonna take a lot to be on par with my 6s hobbywing Maxx. Thing is indestructible.

I like that you have a unbiased review. You dont see many praising this car because it's a traxxas and it triggers arrma fanboys. I think it's a good car and deserves the praise. Traxxas worked hard on it and it shows. Btw I had no idea you was in the states. I always thought you was in England.
No worries on my location. I buy all of the big ticket cars that way I can say what I like about them. New arrma released and you have 8-10 people singing its praises before its even available in hobby stores… very credible reviews I am sure….NOT
This is too funny this is where I get my rc’s now. If you look at the used section at 2:37 on the glass shelf you will see the typhon 6s and the rustler… I bought both of those and got my sledge and kraton 8s from there as well for my 4 year old son. I had mentioned starting a channel for him because he’s so young and so good with the cars and they had actually mentioned you. Too funny.
Yes I agree but I put the new firrma 8$ esc an my 2200kv hobbywing an 15t pinion in 6s. The thing rips. Where that store In pa. I work up that way but I'm from va. Mike I have Ryan's 8S kraton on the floor behind me in my barn and it seemed a good comparison and it's a head to head I can easily - Hopefully when Ryan comes over next weekend!
Im a big Traxxas fan, but my instinct tells me to wait, this is a 1st gen platform and vehicle they have just created. And based on history, almost ALL their models have seen 2nd revisions and generations, the Maxx, the e-revo, the Xmaxx, the rustler, the slash, etc etc... I mean it is not like you have to spend 50$ it is a 800$ rc car...
The Traxxas response to the Infraction is going to be Epic, the X-O2 maybe, of course it will cost $1200.00, and I'll have to wait 3 years to get it... lol
Hunter I think that is the next thing Traxxas will bring out as spring turns into summer. My last 3 calls on Traxxas new releases were pretty much spot on. The only one they’ve yet to release? A 120mph stock out the box car
Great video Sir. For some reason I thought you were on the west cost. I'm right down the road from you. if you ever want to meet up for a bashing session just give me a ping.
even for Kevin Talbot the Sledge is a great contender again Kraton, because the chassis can withstand a betting, but I'm still skeptical of the metal chassis I still prefer plastic chassis the others Traxxas models
You cant compare this the the 8s kraton buddy, i would had much more respect if u kept it with the 6s exb kraton, both 8scale, 6s, 17mm hex tires, both nobwheelie bars, see!? I even made ur video better already🤷♂️ but i agree with u this sledge traxxas slammed it with this truggy🔥🔥🔥
Sorry for the questions so a traxass battery with a connector so I can charge or a non traxass battery with a connector to allow a non traxass battery to run in say the sledge. I’ve googled and seems to be no straight answer seems most or just cutting the connectors
Nah, for the price i much rather get an xmaxx with the wide kit or an old stone 6s exb fuk it😂 hell a nitro losi 8ight truggy🤷♂️ whenever this has cnc metal then i would consider the sledge which btw is a beast out the box in rtr spec, altough i would swap the esc to a max8 or 6 one🤷♂️
No worries! Ryan’s 1/5 8s kraton is sat 6 ft from me as I type this. I’ve been driving it 2-3 hrs a day and I am loving it more all the time, Ryan and me are working on a couple of mega arms builds one on road and one off road
Do this test in the morning, phone arrma and see how long you have to wait to talk to someone, then phone traxxas and do the same, I'd suggest waiting 1&1/2 hours versus 5 mins is holding people and hence the hobby back. TRX4 & XMaxx both broke the mould as to what had come before them. Likewise the infraction and limitless were ground breaking.
Guess Arrma will sue them then, or it could be an arrma fanboy saying that in the other video. At the end of the day all types of RC cars, saloon, drift, monster trucks, drag racers etc are going to have a lot of similarities just like road cars and some people jsut forget that when it comes to RC cars. I just like good ones, I really, really don't care who makes them, I've had a lot of good arrma cars and good traxxas cars as well as bad ones like the XO-1 (Which I have a feeling a new speed run car from Traxxas could be coming soon...)
This new design has a LOT of new ideas that are not on any ARRMA platform. If we look at FORMULA 1 or NASCAR are we to say that the manufacturers can't come up with their own ideas between renault/mercedes/honda/ford/toyota? That's just dumb and narrow-sighted. Have more courtesy for the engineers who bring these products to us. The platform and chassis design are a proven design that is on every vehicle from Hobao to Losi to TLR, to Traxxas. how is it that only ARRMA and Traxxas have all the whinebags commenting on their vehicles when neither have an original design. lawsuit over Cantilever Nero shocks: Traxxas got away with this because somehow nobody told the courts that these types of suspension systems were in Formula 1 cars decades before and is not an original design to either full scale OR RC scale vehicles.

I guess you don't know that I buy all of my big RC cars with my own money, and if you note in the description I just give the phone number to F&M Hobbies......who I don't work for! OR Maybe you should consider that I actually think it's a really good car! If I see a good car I'll tell you I like it, likewise if I see a bad one I'll say so. I test quite a few cars each year. I don't sell Traxxas cars and I don't own a model shop. I buy all my traxxas and arrma cars, that way I can say what I like. Maybe you should think of that when you watch a video of an arrma car that appears on release date before you or I can buy it.....Do you believe the honesty of those reviews? How do those people get a car before it's even for sale in a store? I would ask that you think about the above before posting comments like the one you did, which is unfounded.
Thanks! I used to live in NJ about 3 mins from F&M so they were my go to LHS for years as can be seen in my earlier videos. I caught up with my friends in the store who I've not seen for 4-5 years when we moved to CA, just moved back to PA hence the drive. F&M order the new cars in from all brands nice and early so they are great at getting new cars in store early. Also I think 'outlaw rc' might not be aware just how much money I can blow on repairs in a bad week.....

Ok let's be real and truthful here, first I do like Traxxas have several, and several arrmas, ok, this is no longer a new rc new to market, but not new to rc creators on RUclips, ok, now yes this was a first shake down but let me just say that up till now I never figured u for a fan boy of any brand, u babied that thing, and when going over the car there are some things u didn't say, or point out, now please let me just mention a few that most other people will tell u in the unboxing and look over, agin before I get started this does notmean the rc rig is bad and Traxxas is trash, I'm just saying there are a few things against this truggy out of the box, yes tires do balloon it diffs out and front tires tend to blow, same as an overpowered arrma does, and alot of it can be due to tires not fully glued to rim, there is a reason I mention this I will explain at end, also u never jumped it not sending it to the moon but reasonable jumping, it's a truggy u send it then u deserve a breakage, truggies are not made to be sent to the moon they just don't have the clearance, however on every review I see and hear, the motor slips on reasonable jumps, not good, also ur limited on motor size and with the brace being made the way it is moving the motor over to a new person is not an easy task, there is no clearance with the motor placement design hang with me agin there is a reason for me saying things like this, so limited motor size limited pinion size as well there is just no spare room in this design, that can be good and bad, if u don't like to tinker with ur rigs it's a good thing, but that motor is going to die someday, it would be nice to step up in size and power if we so choose 😉 And since I have yet to actually see inside the motor cover I do worry about the limit problem there as well, I'm not downing this rig, as far as I can see for some people it will be fine, but for alot it won't do unless they mod the platform out heavily, Now let's talk tracking the thing can't hold a straight line 4 out of 5 reviews, no for a basher it does not need to track straight all the time, but ask anyone that has a poor servo or whatever issue and running flat out at a ramp u want that straight line, he'll u want it on wet conditions, u want it running in the street, most people that pay 800$ just want a straight running rc out of the box. Also for the gun ho new people that buy one but have no idea how much tsm seems to really mess with ur steering, which in turn is a performance issue u simply loose ur ability to turn, I'm not talk speed it's a decent servo to start with I'm talking about it simply being limited on the throw like if ur rate is turned down, ok ok there's more but these can be found on alot of early reviews and they r reputable creators with no fan boy image, they tell the good with the bad, and quite frankly I think they were a tad let down by what they saw compared to what the price tag is mind u some of them paid for the Sledge themselves full price. Now that is my opinion on what I heard and saw, it kinda bled through no matter what they said to make everything even and non enfluienchal, so let's talk fact. This rig seems geared at those who are perhaps in the market for a big but less time consuming rig, u don't want to work on it all the time ok, silly dream but ok, that means alot of people just getting into the hobby are going to think oh wow they heard our cries, no no they did not, yes this is a beef cake of a rig no dought really solid, but u still have to check nut and screws, u still have to check mesh because I'm sorry the motor mount and or motor comes loose u will find. I didn't know the standard check list hen I got back into the hobby I bought a ready to run so I charged batteries and ran, bad mistake and only getting to be a bigger problem with the more power they put in these things, Agin someone new might not know how to check mesh or tires, or drive train, if this is ur first rig, first I'm sorry but no, bad choice, start smaller work up, there is more power and stress on these large rc models than say a 10th scale out of the box theres more bits and pieces to remember what they do and where they go. Not to mention the price tag for everything goes up not only to buy but usually to fix as well what was 5 to 10 dollars now is usually around 20 or more. To sum it up for some with deep pockets this indeed could be a good fit of a rig. Though u will have to know what to check for and what to look at and listen to, even at 800$ as I am told they cost, there are still issues out of the box and someone new to the hobby just won't know what to look for or do, so selling as a tough don't have to do anything buy it throw batteries in and run it rig, is false, there simply is no rc out there made like that even rollers and self build kits have things wrong with them every once in awhile lol 😀 😉 😄. Everyone says the same seems real tough and that's great, but has issues to watch for, and I'm sorry the way they made this thing points it to be a China made special, it's built, it's tough, it's powerful, throw batteries in and drive it. Ok what happens when it will break???? Are u going to throw it away like a China special, no the new person is going to go take it to the hobby shop and pay way more than they want to, just to fix something that they should have known how to fix themselves but were kinda misled by standard selling practices , so now a new person says WTF I paid 800 for this and now I got to pay oh say 200 or 300 more to fix it!!!! Um that turns people away from the hobby, and it's having a hard enough time just trying to survive, I hope when these people who are new and do not know alot get a sales person with a heart and steers them away from this rig. Now for those of us who have a bit of knowledge why would we buy this rig???? You left us no room to create something more on???? DUHHHH
Your comment takes me back to when my son and I first got into the hobby. The young man at the hobby store suggested that we take the LST2 completely apart and check and full all the lube oil and tighting all the screws he said they miss alot when producing these things
@@taker1971 well I truly am not down on Traxxas they are In my everyday running fleet, but fact is sometimes selling gets put over common sense, and I'm not against the right rig in the right hands, but that means u as owner can help urself stay in the hobby and it be cheaper on u by starting at the right place, some people pick repair and sett a good tune up real easy, great they can handle a bigger rc much faster if they can afford it, larger scale is more money from cost to buy to cost of repairs if u buy large a large scale then u assume ur fate if u can't repair it because like the little 10th scale they break, and I have heard alot of sledge reviews start with something to the affect of its made for those who don't want to mess with the inside, throw batteries in and run it, yes I agree this rc seems tough, I don't think Traxxas ripped off anybody with this design, but just by its power and speed alone and mistakes on assembly it needs worked on out of the box at 800$ everybody should know this fact, rear shocks tend to over flex and spit out the dog bones it was supposed to come with some sort of spacers on rear drive cups it might in later batches but so far no one I know that has bought one has made it through 3 packs without spitting out the rear dogbones one or both, tires are coming not glued to rims, 2 to 3 packs in u have to retight all stressed screws, this is a small model or moving parts, it will wear out and break, to many people are selling this the wrong way, I won't own this rc but I do happen to think it is a good rc for what it is and to a small segment it will bring much joy, but to the rest of us it will just end up being a shelf queen, I love this hobby, I don't want people being misled, or excluded because they have the wrong rc in their hand and loose interest in this hobby because they can't afford to fix their rig. This hobby can bring parents and children together, it builds a little self pride when u can take an rc and make it into a whole other level of rc, but u can't risk falling out of the hobby because you were sold what u thought you wanted and what sounds like a great rc, but you can't keep that rc going hell I know 4 people that wouldn't be married if they couldn't share their love for rc with eachother. But let me just say the right rc in the right hands and skill level, brings love and good times, however the wrong rc in the wrong hands at the wrong skill level will just bring pain, and disappointment, it's just a hobby, but hobbies are like something you pass on and share and are supposed to bring joy happiness and fun, And I'm afraid to stay relevant and on people's minds Traxxas is selling this the wrong way after all I bought an xmaxx and watched a lot a videos over it, no one said that they upgraded this and that, they just said it's the best big scale basher out there for the money, I wanted to get one so I did esc was bad out of box, motor needed replaced and spur gear was needing to be replaced with one that was metal and more teeth, I sold it for 100$ and felt real stupid, yeah mabey I should have did more research and found out I had to upgrade things to get what I was seeing, I can live with that I blew 900$ to learn this lesson but I learned it, and I have since been honest with my rc advice and recommendations after all just cause u can do something doesn't mean you should, these rc's have limits, if u willing over power an rc u have to be cool with putting money back into it, but remember no matter what an rc will brake at simply doing what it is meant to do. So get the right one for ur level of knowledge and be willing to learn about the ends and outs, it would have saved me 900$
But so much of what you've said could also apply to any of the 6/8s arrma's (Of which compare the price of an 8S kraton chassis to an 8s xmaxx chassis and you'll be stunned. I didn't take it out jumping as I ran it around my yard, which is big but flat, but to have waited and not run it in the video just wouldn't have made sense. Also mine's no problem running straight at all Thanks for all the info in the comment and I do like comments like that as they are thought provoking, there's only so much detail that people want in a video, if you put in too much then people who are just interested in driving the car rather than the tech specs or tinkering with it will just switch off. Hope that makes sense
@@DriftomaniacsRC yes u r right, I'm truely not a fan boy I own both as u do arrma and Traxxas I was trying to convey there is no copy of design, and there is no such thing as a perfect rc out of box , as each is more or less line produced each one can have different things wrong with it from the same run, so to speak. As to jumping ok yeah room certainly is a issue, but I would show it landing flat, on grass I hate blacktop, or pavement landing, rc abuse but to each their own, so many people will set up jumps in a open space in their yard, it might not be ideal and right, but they bash there so they jump there. Also if u do it on normalish ground I'm fairly sure that chasis will be fine, I've seen this sledge drop nose straight down from 70 to 80 feet perhaps higher u had to of seen it, it was. Kevin Talbert video, he nosed dived that thing off I think what he calls the death ramps and it was really up there, on to cement, or concrete, it was a skate park, and bent the chassis very little, and what is more it still ran, this is a tough vehicle, this is a capable vehicle for 6 s now I'm sorry yes arrma would indeed tocoed folded like a book ended the day for itself unless outfitted with m2c bits and bobs, simple fact, I was impressed, I am not putting this vehicle down, but to many people are neglecting to be honest and talk about the after shake down loose nuts and bolts, 2 to 3 packs in and ur diff case covers are really backing off, my worry is Traxxas trying to chase a trend and selling as much as possible to anyone that we loose people from the hobby, and worse yet someone could be hurt. It's probably because finally there is a new platform out, not a rehash of a old platform with a new body and tires, i.e. fire team lol and alot of arrmas line up just examples not calling them out, others are indeed still trying to innovate team corally, hobiao team associated is indeed taking advantage of the market, last on this short list but certainly not least red cat is doing things as well um I'm not sure the last kiju ext offering was what people expected or wanted but they are trying and doing things outside of their comfort zone, ok ok, I just don't want this thing in the wrong hands, it needs to be in the right hands, at the right skill level, and the right rc'er. As I said this is not easy for for a new enthusiast to work on and dangerous in inexperienced hands, also this does not need said as much as the first thing I said but for those of us with a bit of knowledge and like to improve our own rigs, they have seriously limited that, unless u make a new chassis or fiddle around with layout alot, I'm not that guy but I know people who are. So unless ur one of those guys, or someone who doesn't mind an 800$ shelf queen after this rc no longer peaks ur interest u might not want to think about this rc Traxxas built it big they built it tough, but they limited the platform on purpose. That's cool but not for everyone, people keep yelling about copy this and that, get with it, this is like Android or Apple do u like proprietary or open source they both are good but in different ways armma is Android in this scenario, it is more open , you can upgrade and change the platform so much more easy than Traxxas or in this scenario Apple, Apple builds to a price point and idea, once that idea is realized it is polished then boxed and ships but its proprietary made in a closed sandbox application environment, the sledge was built to its limitations fully, I mean damn 70 out of box with right gear they give u I believe you just buy the 6s battery config. Wow. I myself am a basher but love speed, I say wow, but I know how to check my stuff, and fix it as well. My point is though this thing is limited on what you can do with it after market wise because Traxxas don't want u to mess with this design it is indeed as far as I can see done no more can u do but add fans and also perhaps a few other things slight change in pion, and spur slight as far as I can see and tell, but like I said if u don't mind an 800 dollar shelf queen u should love this machine, ok I think I made myself clear I'm not attacking or downing this machine I won't buy it but for some I see it being a great fit, and it seems to be a solid truggy, now u please keep doing ur thing, I'm not downing you just seemed really light of a first run is all, I run my 6s in a smaller yard, at times, and I jump them as well in my yard about bout about 20 yards in total is my yard for jumping 6s tight but possible with common sense, oh please do urself a favor, by now u probably know but on just the back drive cups please take rear dog bones out and put some fuel tubing seems first runs were supposed to have spacers there but were forgotten Traxxas I think is sending them out free though so they are aware and doing right by it. But without fuel tubing or some sort of spacer in there back shocks tend to over flex on compression and spit dog bones out some came with spacers some did not, sucks but it is a first run, of a first gen, no one gets it 100 percent right the first time through. Ok bash on and be well.
This is far from great I mean just for my own liking I don't like the colors black is the way to go The radio system has to go motor and esc replaced with a Hobbywing tires changed to dboots belted Katar new faster servo getting rid of the battery tray so you can fit real batteries in there putting body mounts on for a chouse of bodies getting rid of the center diff for a slipper style set up so in a nutshell not eveyone should buy this rc
If you are going to change all that before driving it then it's not the car for you for sure. As for the battery tray it'll take a 6000mah 100C 6S pack....

Too funny.
I may pick one up tomorrow, I've found 2 hobbyshops within 40miles that have them in-stock!
I would act fast, people were phoning the store enquiring about them when I was in there
3x7 outdoor loves ours!
Thanks rc Brotha
Yes I agree but I put the new firrma 8$ esc an my 2200kv hobbywing an 15t pinion in 6s. The thing rips. Where that store In pa. I work up that way but I'm from va. If I run across we can race our sledge. Check hobbytown in Richmond va where I'm from. U can order off there site so u want have to drive far. Or MD. They have them there also. I like 👍 your videos
Hobby Shops , Gun Shows lol Road Trips with a purpose, every Man needs. Theres no good ones in Miami ( Hobby Shops , that is ) & this new Sledge is worth a look. TY 👍
Do you lose warranty if you want to change the power connector or are you vendor locked on Traxxas batteries?
You could do as I do and use a no wires adapter to be on the safe side
Not only will I be getting one of these...the blue one, obviously (lol)...but, I've already created an "upgrade parts needing to get" list.
hiya Robb, hope you are well, I'll drop you an email when my relatives have gone back next week. Hope you're well
@@DriftomaniacsRC Mostly well...but, I can tell you, if you come to the Bay Area to visit, I won't be there - I'm moving to Vegas (I'll explain via email).
It’s a great car in general not just starter! :) Very fast. Has that nostalgic feel. Great price. And that purple body is hot
800 is a frigging horrible price. That's creeping into 1:5 scale prices.
BUT unlike other companies Traxxas will hold it at that price point for years and not push it up in 18 months time like some other companies do...
@@DriftomaniacsRC their xmaxx went from 800 to 1000. Of course they wont raise the price they set it as high as possible.
@@joshstevens6678 you seem very triggered by the price. Is there a feature you don't like about the sledge? Is it because it's a truggy design?
Why are you comparing the Sledge to a 8s kraton? Wouldn't a better comparison be to a Kraton 6s?
Mike I have Ryan's 8S kraton on the floor behind me in my barn and it seemed a good comparison and it's a head to head I can easily - Hopefully when Ryan comes over next weekend!
Make sure u upgrade your ring an pinion gears.
Enjoyed , looks good 👊🏻👍🏻
Im a big Traxxas fan, but my instinct tells me to wait, this is a 1st gen platform and vehicle they have just created.
Can run single 6S witn Traxxas connector?
Yes
Great video Sir. For some reason I thought you were on the west cost. I'm right down the road from you. if you ever want to meet up for a bashing session just give me a ping.
even for Kevin Talbot the Sledge is a great contender again Kraton, because the chassis can withstand a betting, but I'm still skeptical of the metal chassis I still prefer plastic chassis the others Traxxas models
I liked the plastic chassis of the Maxx. It has to help it's durability.
So do I and that's why I got the XMaxx and not the Kraton 8S after i saw Kev bend the chassis on the Kraton first time out!
Nice
Hey u were in town! Lol F&M is about 9 minutes from me. 18 min round trip 😆
Don I used to live 3-4 mins from the store in 7 acres! I will be coming up again soon. Use the ‘about’ page to touch base on here
You cant compare this the the 8s kraton buddy, i would had much more respect if u kept it with the 6s exb kraton, both 8scale, 6s, 17mm hex tires, both nobwheelie bars, see!? I even made ur video better already🤷♂️ but i agree with u this sledge traxxas slammed it with this truggy🔥🔥🔥
Going to wait patiently to find it used :), they are too late with this thing:(
If you could only keep one of your rc's, which one would you choose?
Looks like the VXL cobra

How did you run a non traxass battery in it ?
Use a 'no wires' adapter! Traxxas batteries are just 25C rated, so if you use 50,75 or 100C packs it'll pull a lot harder under acceleration
There's a common myth about requiring Traxxas batts. It's just nonsense.
So there’s an adapter I can get for traxass to say ec5 and it’s a non wire one I need ?
@@darrengaynor4966 Yes, you can buy two batteries with trx connectors for $45 and up or an adapter. It's your choice.
Sorry for the questions so a traxass battery with a connector so I can charge or a non traxass battery with a connector to allow a non traxass battery to run in say the sledge.
I’ve googled and seems to be no straight answer seems most or just cutting the connectors
Rather spend that much on something else but enjoying all the vids regardless.
I am debating getting a Polaris slingshot so part of me agrees, however I've had a blast with this today!
gyro slows the servo people ;)
Run an arma talion exb
I dont have 800$ lying around.
The e revo motor is a 2200kv not 2000kv so this is new
Thanks Lars! I saw online it was a Brand New motor after I'd shot this. Thanks for the correction though!
It's pricey. I am not an arrma fanboy, love my UDR. But have just bought Kraton exb ...
No worries! Ryan’s 1/5 8s kraton is sat 6 ft from me as I type this. I’ve been driving it 2-3 hrs a day and I am loving it more all the time, Ryan and me are working on a couple of mega arms builds one on road and one off road
@@DriftomaniacsRC look forward to those. Just bought a max6 and 1650 motor , not sure whether to put on my infraction, mojaveexb or the kraton..
Kinda hard to support rc companies that hold the hobby back
Do this test in the morning, phone arrma and see how long you have to wait to talk to someone, then phone traxxas and do the same, I'd suggest waiting 1&1/2 hours versus 5 mins is holding people and hence the hobby back.
TRX4 & XMaxx both broke the mould as to what had come before them. Likewise the infraction and limitless were ground breaking.
I thought you lived in San Jose …….
I was just South of CA but moved to PA in August last year, and now I have a real yard to drive around not a postage stamp piece of grass :-)
@@DriftomaniacsRC nice man I figured
Glad it’s all working out, keep up the good content
they tried to talbot proff it
Man I sound like a nerd.
Am I youtube famous yet Rich??? Lol
i will have one if you gimme one lol
I saw another video on this which said Traxxas hasn't done anything new, they just cloned the Armma truck and claim it is their own "new" design.😎
TRX should stay with the plastic-pan design...it never failed....everything else they have now but on a plastic chassis
That gets comment of the day I am a big f1 fan and cantilever shocks were brought in, in the 70s! D
@@DriftomaniacsRC yay! i'm a HUGE fan. i got to see the final V8 runnings at Circuit of The Americas in Austin. 2012. i've loved F1 since i can remember.

i love you got out of commiefornia in time
I know u trying real hard to get people to buy this car, you must be making good money off it.
that’s not how it works my friend, you don’t make commission on RCs because you like them 🤣. Even if he was sponsored from traxxas it’d be in form of free RCs from traxxas… not his LHS
@@DriftomaniacsRC back in PA ya say? You’ll have to post updates if you go to any events, I’m from eastern Ohio and need to find some RC events! Never been to one!
A lot of bla bla bla
Better off buying a Armra kraton for 600 rather then paying 800 for cheap parts your going to have to upgrade right away
And you got one of the sledges and driven it for 2-3 hours a day like me so we can alll stand behind your opinion? Outstanding! OR Traxxas might have built a winner. Remind me how much is it to replace a bent kraton 8s chassis vs an 8s xmacc one? About $100 vs $20 but what do I know….oh sorry I’ve actually driven all of those cars BEFORE I comment on them…..

Not a car
Ok let's be real and truthful here, first I do like Traxxas have several, and several arrmas, ok, this is no longer a new rc new to market, but not new to rc creators on RUclips, ok, now yes this was a first shake down but let me just say that up till now I never figured u for a fan boy of any brand, u babied that thing, and when going over the car there are some things u didn't say, or point out, now please let me just mention a few that most other people will tell u in the unboxing and look over, agin before I get started this does notmean the rc rig is bad and Traxxas is trash, I'm just saying there are a few things against this truggy out of the box, yes tires do balloon it diffs out and front tires tend to blow, same as an overpowered arrma does, and alot of it can be due to tires not fully glued to rim, there is a reason I mention this I will explain at end, also u never jumped it not sending it to the moon but reasonable jumping, it's a truggy u send it then u deserve a breakage, truggies are not made to be sent to the moon they just don't have the clearance, however on every review I see and hear, the motor slips on reasonable jumps, not good, also ur limited on motor size and with the brace being made the way it is moving the motor over to a new person is not an easy task, there is no clearance with the motor placement design hang with me agin there is a reason for me saying things like this, so limited motor size limited pinion size as well there is just no spare room in this design, that can be good and bad, if u don't like to tinker with ur rigs it's a good thing, but that motor is going to die someday, it would be nice to step up in size and power if we so choose 😉
And since I have yet to actually see inside the motor cover I do worry about the limit problem there as well, I'm not downing this rig, as far as I can see for some people it will be fine, but for alot it won't do unless they mod the platform out heavily,
Now let's talk tracking the thing can't hold a straight line 4 out of 5 reviews, no for a basher it does not need to track straight all the time, but ask anyone that has a poor servo or whatever issue and running flat out at a ramp u want that straight line, he'll u want it on wet conditions, u want it running in the street, most people that pay 800$ just want a straight running rc out of the box.
But let me just say the right rc in the right hands and skill level, brings love and good times, however the wrong rc in the wrong hands at the wrong skill level will just bring pain, and disappointment, it's just a hobby, but hobbies are like something you pass on and share and are supposed to bring joy happiness and fun,
And I'm afraid to stay relevant and on people's minds Traxxas is selling this the wrong way after all I bought an xmaxx and watched a lot a videos over it, no one said that they upgraded this and that, they just said it's the best big scale basher out there for the money, I wanted to get one so I did esc was bad out of box, motor needed replaced and spur gear was needing to be replaced with one that was metal and more teeth, I sold it for 100$ and felt real stupid, yeah mabey I should have did more research and found out I had to upgrade things to get what I was seeing, I can live with that I blew 900$ to learn this lesson but I learned it, and I have since been honest with my rc advice and recommendations after all just cause u can do something doesn't mean you should, these rc's have limits, if u willing over power an rc u have to be cool with putting money back into it, but remember no matter what an rc will brake at simply doing what it is meant to do.
Also mine's no problem running straight at all
Thanks for all the info in the comment and I do like comments like that as they are thought provoking, there's only so much detail that people want in a video, if you put in too much then people who are just interested in driving the car rather than the tech specs or tinkering with it will just switch off.
Nice
