  • Today I got to spend it with ski jumpers at giant Pine Mountain Ski Jump in Iron Mountain, MI where I sat on the tower as they launched off the jump! This weekend is the FIS Continental Cup featuring FOUR tournaments, one of which was just announced late Thursday afternoon! Friday we will have the first competition at 1:30pm..

Ski jump looks great. Kudos to all who worked on it and especially that bearded guy who swept all the steps! That was quite a job! Also thanks for climbing all the way up to the top to give us good views of the skiers going down and of the countryside.

Great video! Beautiful view from up there! IF I could climb it, they'd have to take me down in a rescue basket! VERTIGO! I'd feel the sensation of falling and never be able to go back down the steps; especially with the grating under my feet. Thank you for your courage in facing the heights for us! Also, thanks to those who conceived, built, and maintain this special structure and to those who compete there! ☮️

😀❤️👍🙏 Jason you're doing some good film in there boy if you can get down below and have film them when they're coming off the bottom of the jump there boy that's that's a great shot to film too when they're landing down below Nice job my friend thank you. Usually when they're going to jump they're going 60 miles an hour and they're like 10 to 15 ft off the ground I looked this up online and they can go a distance between 300 350 ft thank you.

You are a better man than I, Jason! I so dislike heights that I get the "Heebee-Jeebies" going up a 6-ft step-ladder! I am, also, not a fan of skiing (childhood experience), so I started watching with the sole intent of not finishing. Surprise, surprise! I watched the WHOLE thing! I came close to losing it on that, no warning, "Between the Feet" shot at the top of the tower.
Just between you and me, there is absolutely no reason for you to climb that tower for my sake!

That would cost me my entire Social Security check just to get up there without lodging, food, or a way back to sunny Florida. And on top of that, all the checks that come out of that SS check would bounce. So I'll stay here in NW Florida where it has only snowed 11 times in 64 years.
