Wow! Back in the 1970s and 1980s, I made many trips to Bavaria and western Austria, starting from Munich. Sometimes my wife and family joined me. I still dream of the square at the center of Munich. Thank you for screening this! It evokes many memories!
I ve got a pretty good Job in Munich but its hard to find a girl friend for traveling and backpacking. And its difficult to find an apartment for rent.
Salzburg is so deserving of more than a day trip, as ia Rothenberg od Tauber. Beautiful cities, you'll barely scratch the surface in a day. Ulm is a good day trip; see the Munster just down the pedestrian platz south of the Banhnhof. Herrenchiemsee is another good day trip from Munich, as is Schloss Linderhof.
Having been stationed in Augsburg in the late 70's and Bamberg in the early 80's I have done several of the trips you suggested including a couple you didn't. There used to be a wine cruise on lake Constantine that took you to 3 countries in a day. I also went and visited the town of Andecs and the monastery there. Besides visiting Amsterdam the Andecs trips were just a blast. None of you ever mention it though. Enjoyed watching and remembering though so thank you.
@@alanbrowne2529 I was referring to the Andecs Monastery. I have been to the lake and visited the 3 ports, 1 in each country on a cruise I took in the late 70's.
This seems to be a very charming place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
Unfortunately COVID is here to stay so there's no "over". It's just going to be about your risk tolerance and ease of travel (eg. Quarantine requirements, vaccine certificate, test requirements)
Hello , Amazing video i'm wondering if isn't Germany's nature such as beautiful lakes and landscacapes dangerous ? i mean aren't there dangerous animals or insects??
No, there aren‘t any dangerous animals or insects. 😉 The only poisonous snake existing in Germany is the so called „Kreuzotter“. But that snake is really rare and extremely shy.
Swarovsky Crystal World is one of the worst tourist traps in complete Europe. I would not recommend that. For me it was one of the most dissapointing places I've ever visited
I’m sure if a German was narrating this in English, there would be a similar comment to yours. 😂 Give the narrator a break. German is not her first language.
Munich is not the best place for they stay! It's expensive and crowded It's okay to spend a few days here but it's much cheaper to rent/have a car a cruise around in Oberbayern, Allgau or even Tirol. You will save money on accomodation versus sleeping in Munich. One day trips from Munich is just plain dumb and waste of time.
