- In honor of Coco being released on Netflix, here's Remember Me 2.0 with a cooler video!
I reached out to Emiri a couple months ago and asked if she’d like to work together on something. She comes back, shows me this, and now all that's left of me is a puddle of tears on the floor.
I cannot get over how talented and how hardworking this girl is. It was such a pleasure to talk with her. In such a short amount of time, she plans and creates this whole animatic that left my jaw on the fLOOR. I cannot stress how much of a joy she is and that you should ABSOLUTELY go subscribe to her and support her!
On a side note, this is technically a repeat upload. This week has been crazy and I had to take an emergency trip to my hometown to see family. I was just thinking there wouldn’t be an upload this week but then Emi messages me at 3am with the final video and saves the day.

Yeah I couldn't stop myself from crying in the theater like a baby near the end when Miguel was singing this song to Mama Coco and she came back to herself. Both of the grandparents I got to know faded away mentally due to alzheimer's and dementia. They would occasionally be themselves for a little while just like that, and it made me think of them.

I know Hector pretty much went through Hell and back but we never truly realize that Imelda suffered true pain as well I'm glad you sang and animated for her

I'm surprised she didn't figure out something went wrong when his song made Ernesto famous and he dissapeared.
I think she never knew that until Miguel came, because she wanted to make music dissapeare from her life and since Ernesto was a muscian she never listened to his "songs". Or maybe she thought that Hector just gave the songs to Ernesto, since they were "great friends".

My line of thought was that Imelda thinks that Hector sold his songs to Ernesto and ran away with the money, living a 'rich and single' life, in a 'dad that went to buy cigarettes and never returned' kind of fashion
I've always headcannoned that she always knew something bad had happened, but forced her self to believe the story that was probably all over town. Imelda doesn't seem the type to show weakness in front of others, so it'd be much easier to carry on fueled with hate than grief.
I think she just didnt knew about this song in special since in it he says its a secret song, I belive only for him and his daughter.

@Saiyasha27 nono, think about it. (Spoilers) Coco died sure? She died and her 'body' was that of a old woman. Hector and her mother both look the same as when they were alive. It's a stupid theory but I think both her parents died at a young age. Hector definitely ofc.
Hector died at 21 and imelda died at about 70. You can Google it if you want. Imelda has 2 gray streaks in her hair. Even so I think she must have aged well.

but the guy with the guitar was her lover. he abandoned the family (the singing woman and the child) to pursue a music career with a comrade. she gets back on her feet and starts her own shoe-making business soon after. but because he left her she wanted nothing to do with him. although it is never said in the movie who ripped the photo of the family, in emirichu’s interpretation it was the mother who did so.

Ohh, nice. I've barely heard any news about the movie coco. Literally the only thing I know about it was that image of a guy sitting with a guitar. Damn, it's always a terrible thing when someone selfishly abandons their family.

the guitar guy does try returning but is murdered by the man who he left to become professional musicians. it is honestly quite sad but it does get better in the movie!

This is amazing. Imelda is putting on a fake face of happiness and trying to be strong in front of Coco. Then when Coco isn't looking she shows her true feelings if hurt and sadness. She is heartbroken over her husband who she thought ran away and left them. It shows that on the outside she is strong and brave, but on the inside she is a woman who is heartbroken and lonely over the husband she lost and never truly got over. It shows the inner turmoil she experienced that wasn't shown in the movie.
In all seriousness, Hector was only 21 when he died. How sad is that? His life barely started. And he realized in the end he wanted to spend it with his family.
And coco was 3 when he died so he had her when he was 19 or 18

this movie is so sad, just because they both weren't able to be together because of one mains selfish desires. she thought he abandoned them, and he wasn't able to tell them what happened for multiple reasons (he died and he also didn't realize he was poisoned until miguel figured it out). it's such a sad relationship that breaks your heart to see, cause at it's core both of them are heartbroken and miss each other.

Oh this was so beautiful and sad. You can just imagine how painful it was for Imelda when Hector didn't come home and she never knew that he had been killed by his so called "best friend." And then Ernesto turns the song made JUST for Coco into a national sensation was a real blow. So it's no wonder she banned music from her families lives.

This song ALWAYS makes me cry not only because it’s obviously a bittersweet song but I went to go see this movie with my dad my senior year. He had a day off and so I skipped school and we hung out all day and went to see this. I had no idea it’d be heavily father/daughter orientated at the end and bawled my eyes out. Well ever since I moved to my new house in the same neighborhood
My friends are being so distant to me

I promised them I would always visit them if I have time since it was only a few blocks away.
But since covid 19 happened I stopped visiting them.
Soon after 2 years they feel like strangers to me now... they never add me to their groups in messenger.
Before in my old house they would always visit me,hangout with me...
Now whenever they visit it was because they only came to bring something or get something.
I was just with them and I feel like I'm the different one...their little siblings are the ones that always talk to me.
I asked them to remember me...they said of course "we will never forget you "
It's like I'm not who they know anymore
I only feel like I'm a bother to them.
Now I lost another friend she was really young she had to go to another place which is called (heaven)...

I feel so bad for you. I kind of get where you're coming from though. When I was a kid, I played with my very first school friend from preschool all the time. We'd go over to each others' houses and always play together. It was in 1st or 2nd grade when it happened. New kids came flooding in, and I guess I was just old news. There was no warning. My friend just...abandoned me. She stopped talking to me, made new friends, and that was it. I never wanted to talk to her because I was always so shy. I never asked someone to play, they had to ask me first. Otherwise I'd always say, "I don't wanna bother them, they look like they're having fun." or "If I interrupt, they'll hate me," or "They wouldn't want to hang out with me anyways. It was then I made a new friend.. if that even counts. It was an invisible friend. I called her Izzy because invisible and Izzy sounded alike. Most times though, I walked around the playground at recess, not doing anything. Just circling, waiting for recess to end. I sat alone at lunch, or I was with people but didn't talk to them, and they didn't talk to me. It was like I was just a ghost. This continued till 3rd or 4th grade. I made a new friend, a real one this time. It was the new girl. More like she made friends with me. Suddenly, I was noticed and cared about again. People liked me again, and I made more friends. Only a few would stay with me though. Through the next few years, I stayed with those two girls, and 1 or two others. I tried to get in a friend group, but I acted to fake and awkward around them. I don't think they actually liked me, it was more like pity. Maybe being my friend to seem kind, I don't know. This year, things have gotten worse. I can't talk to my best friends, and I can't see them anymore. It's so lonely. Only my online friends remain, which is weird. How come I can make friends online but not in real life? Am I that ugly and weird? I dunno. There's also a whole thing with my brother my whole life but I feel like I should stop here. Sorry, just wanted to let you know: You're not alone. :)
