For those who don't know, this song follows the original Zapotec story of La Llorona Farther north it's a horror story about an abused woman who kills her two children in murder-suicide, but the original story goes like this. A man sees a woman at a ceremony in a beautiful huipil, and the two get along well enough that they get married soon after. But when revolution comes to Oaxaca, and the man is called up to fight, she (now pregnant) can't stop crying. He wipes the tears from her eyes and playfully calls her "llorona," or crybaby as he sings to her about how they met and how much he loves her. Months later, she's cried for him everyday and prayed for his safe return, and her husband's comrade comes home injured. He tells her that her husband was too maimed to save. She cries, and is left to care for their child alone.

Granted, ANYTHING made by RafScrap is too short in the sense that it ends at all, but still. For those who don't know, this song follows the original Zapotec story of La Llorona
Farther north it's a horror story about an abused woman who kills her two children in murder-suicide, but the original story goes like this.
A man sees a woman at a ceremony in a beautiful huipil, and the two get along well enough that they get married soon after. But when revolution comes to Oaxaca, and the man is called up to fight, she (now pregnant) can't stop crying. He wipes the tears from her eyes and playfully calls her "llorona," or crybaby as he sings to her about how they met and how much he loves her.
Months later, she's cried for him everyday and prayed for his safe return, and her husband's comrade comes home injured. He tells her that her husband was too maimed to save.
She cries, and is left to care for their child alone.

I have only two complaints about this latest amazing cover:
1) Damn you for making me want to watch "Coco" now.
2) It's so darn short! ... Granted, ANYTHING made by RafScrap is too short in the sense that it ends at all, but still.
With that being said, I am once again left (figuratively) speechless by your unfathomable multi-layered skills. The Spanish is great (although I'm no expert...or a novice, even...when it comes to foreign languages), the effects are mesmerizing, and there is NO WAY a woman should look that alluring with one arm and a decent portion of her face literally skeletonized. (If the Zombie Apocalypse hits and you're unfortunate enough to become infected, I pity whoever's living anywhere near you. They'd be paralyzed with indecision by your undead beauty and left easy prey.) Of course, Gezeus is the perfect complement for the song (as in real life, natch), and the both of you have amazing style.
