Today’s cover is from the beautiful movie Coco! I’ve been listening to this song non-stop since the movie came out (specifically the adrisaurus version bc what a queen am I right). I really wanted to try singing this in Spanish but I was scared my Spanish speaking friends would make fun of me so if you’d like someone to blame, blame them.
I know this is a short cover so there might be another one out on Wednesday winkwink.

@@weeferwafer2316 hi! My mother has been getting better since her treatments. But, she had to stop chemo because her something something plates was low ( I don’t remember what it was but she had to get a biopsy for it to determine if she can continue or not) so she hasn’t done chemo in a few months. We are doing alright as of currently and only hoping that her cancer gets less than just stable! Thanks for checking in

I remember I was listening to this song cover a few years ago with my girlfriend, and it made her cry. She said it was because it reminded her of me. I refused to listen to it after that, even on my own. I didn’t want anything to do with it because it made my love cry.
We’re broken up now, and it’s been about 2 years. I gave this song a listen again and the memories flooded back into me. However... I realized how things are better now that she and I are split up. The relationship was toxic and full of regret. Thank you Anna, for helping me realize the truth.

So 3 years ago (I was 17 at the time) my Aunt Wendy passed away. She was more of a mother than an Aunt because my biological mother was always in and out of the picture so my dad had to raise me, and he would’ve had to do it on his own if it wasn’t for my Aunt. Even after my dad met my stepmom (I was 10) my aunt was my person. So when she passed away it really messed me up. Listening to this song I started tearing up because I was imagining my aunt singing this to me but from heaven.
We had to sing this is choir and when I heard it I was crying silently and everyone was just like:

This is 3 years old by now so I know not many people will see it, but this song is super emotional for me.
While I was in highschool, (both my freshman and sophomore years respectfully) 2 kids committed suicide. I don't remember much of those 2 years other than those tragic events. I remember one day showing up to school and seeing some kids outside the band hall crying. Everyone was leaving, either to the main building, or back into their cars and going home. I didn't know what was happening, until one of my friends came and told me someone from our band had committed suicide. And when I was told who, my heart sank.
We learned this song and played it for his family, for our community, for him. The whole band came together to remember an individual who was suddenly whisked away. Every time this song appears in my playlist, or in my recommended in some other place, I feel like it's him, reminding anyone who will pay attention to remember. I listen to it and remember him, remember everyone I've ever known who I've lost to something like that. I've lost so many to suicide, to depression. And I listen to this song to remember them all.
Please, if you are struggling, get help. You aren't alone. I don't want to remember you as someone I knew; I want to remember you as someone I know now. Someone beautiful and perfect, worthy of all the love in the world. Stay strong.

Mr grandmother passed around this time last year and it has weighed down on me and brought me sadness, but this song helps me through it, not just the original version, but your cover of it. It is beautiful and I love it, as it brings me to tears, tears of joy that bring up memories that once was, and new memories I can make with her watching over me. Thank you for doing this cover. It truly has touched me in a way I can't describe and I love you so much for it.
