You should try my A class 64 Ford GT40 build. It's a RWD handling acceleration beast, but lacks top end. Comparable to the Lotus Elise 99, not as good handling, but better acceleration and more stable on the throttle. Has decent launch as well. I'm not the best tuner and using a wheel, but would love to see what could be done with it in steadier hands. I definitely think it deserves a spot on your list as a meta alternative even if it needs to be retuned by someone who knows what they are doing better than me. Share code is 601 104 168.
For comparison sake, I can do a 50.2 on Lookout and am sure a 49 range is possible for me, and am faster around Emerald by a slight margin at 48.4 than I am in the same Elise 99 tune you used for a 47.1.
ESV Mars and ESV Sumin. Most of their tunes are tip top. Better than I can do. Depends on the track online. But in rivals, I have multiple top 50 or so times (some are top 50 with cheaters as well).

Try the Exige in A800 in FH5! Is it as good in FH5 as it is in FM7?

in A class I like to use viper from barn find, not op car but fun, the acceleration is good, and you can choose to tune it become speed beast or handling. but I only tried RWD, never changed to AWD. as RWD lovers I definitely will try this BMW M3
It's only good with an engine swap, nothing special about it unfortunately.
I heard from a few people that they love the Viper '99. :)

I like the Chevy 150 Utility Sedan in B-class road racing. The tune I made for myself has AWD and lots of power, all with pretty decent handling. I'm not the best driver, so I'm not sure if it would be meta or not.

I'm kind of new to tuning, but I just made this a few days ago and realized there weren't many other B-class road tunes for it (at least from the top tuners I follow). I got like a 1:12.0 on Horizon Mexico Circuit with it, which is my PB (like I said, I'm not the fastest driver--it could probably be improved quite a bit).

They have the original engine from the GT3 car in the game and it isn't a V8

As far as non-OP cars, I give a nostalgic recommendation to the 1994 Nissan Silvia in S1, NO ENGINE SWAP.
It’s at least good enough to beat all the street races in the game on Unbeatable difficulty.

I really enjoy the Porsche 914/6 in A class - definitely not OP, since I made it predominantly a dirt racing build, but with rally tires, there's more than enough grip on asphalt as well :D It is very predictable to drive with nice acceleration, and that got me a couple online race wins^^
The new car pass car Lambo Espada is good but not OP in A class, would love to see you give that a challenge.

When was the last time you hit top speed in an A class race?

I'm trying to tune myself some variety of cars to race with on different classes, and until now I always go for the semi-slick tires for A class and above. I heard you mentioning Mars put rally tires on it, and I was wondering why so? Is it because they spare you some PI to spend on engine upgrades allowing your car to have more power, or what's the deal? In my head rally tires are middle ground for good grip, on and off tarmac, such as the majority of dirt races on forza are held on both surfaces. I'll appreciate some insights from you and/or anyone who is somewhat able to shed some light on this topic.
Sometimes you either don't need more lateral Gs force but acceleration or speed. In some cases though, it's half/half, to the point in which using rally tires give you enough Gs force to give you a decent grip, not spending that much points as semi-slick+ tires cost, so in these cases are win/win using Rally tires.
And don't let the name mislead you, Rally tires are better to road than you might think, I used it in a S1 car class that needed grip and it worked just perfect, a beast in acceleration/speed and has really good grip.
Rally tires are never used for dirt, they’re only used for road. They have more than enough grip for road, even up to s1 900, most cars are on rally tires. Off-Road race tires are the only tire choice for off road, rally tires are basically a strictly road tire choice in this game.
If your handling is already showing a better stat than speed i recommend u don't swap tyres and try working on more upgrades that could help, always make sure your handling stats are more than your speed stats , but speed shouldn't be too low either something similar to 8.1:7.5 seems like a good ratio example
Doing this could save you some more pi for extra upgrades for that little kick

The problem is that it doesn't have very good launch, which leaves you fighting with 10 rammers who will stop at nothing to prevent you from overtaking
Learn how to launch rwd cars and it’s a non issue
You'll never start like in an AWD car, but you can train it like Mars said. :)
Ferrari 288 GTO - A class. I love the car, just can't find the right setup, rwd just makes it too squirrely, AWD makes it too slow. See what you think I guess!
