I went there a couple years ago in February. we broke the record for most peacocks over 20 lbs. was amazing. we went up the Rio Negro though. it's an awesome trip. I would go back in a heartbeat. can't wait to see the rest of your adventure

Dream trip is a two week vacation with the Ultimate Lady exploring the rarely travelled to atolls surrounding Vanuatu! Marlin, dogtooth tuna, yellowfin tuna, and all the GT action you can handle.

The Amazon River is actually THE biggest river and the speckled Peacock you saw is not a specie on its own but rather a different pattern of coloration of a few species, but you have the açu (3 bars, the big one) in the speckled pattern too! Also, we call them Paca, which means Tapir, that's what their coloration reminds us of, the spots on the tapir's back

Enjoyed part 1 and looking forward to part 2. I fished Brazil Nov 2020 and will be back next Feb. Will also be fishing Colombia in early Feb, so it will be a back to back trip. Hoping for some good results.
