      @@AussieAliner it sure did. My van is quite old so I’ve had to repair a few things to get it ready for my first trip next month. It was missing the two slide bolts that help hold up the side walls. I was racking my brain trying to figure out what was there and now I know. I’m off to Bunnings to buy and install two new ones. Thanks again. RUclips to the rescue.

    Thanks for showing some of the wiring . I bought a 2010 same version you have . It has had a 12 volt fire and melt down I think the old water heater may have started it.
    I need to gut most of the wiring and start again. Any thought on wiring it would be very welcome. Regards, Nick.

    Hi Rob, I have just bought my 1st van - 2010 cruiseliner. Could you tell me the brand and size of the mobile solar panels leaning up against your van in the video. I'm going off grid for 2 weeks and would like to run my microwave, fan and powerpoints (for charging electrics) off of mobile solar panels. Would what you have cope with that? Fridge can run off the two 4kg gas cylinders. Thanks Caroline

    • @AussieAliner
      @AussieAliner  Год назад +1

      Hi Caroline, My Solar Panel is only a cheap no name Chinese 140 Watt solar panel that was part of the deal when i bought the Avan. It is only good for topping up the 12 volt battery for small electrics like LED lights etc. If you want to run a microwave you need at least 10 times more solar +Lithium battery +inverter +big dollars - sorry but we don't usually do off grid camping so can't give you too much more info

    Hi Rob H,
    Good to see your trailer .Looks like a shiny new one with great features.When are you getting out and traveling?
    I have a 1999 Aliner I restored. I left it at a specialist workshop in Victoria to have a gas heater installed and now the border is closed. I am in NSW and was hoping to take my Aliner to Tasmania . But you cant get into Tasmania especially from Victoria.and I don't want to go to Victoria for obvious reasons.
    Don't know when I will see my aliner again . Its in storage which is costing me. Maybe I should sell it but have got it well fitted and was hoping to enjoy some travels . Drat this covid. Stay safe!

    • @AussieAliner
      @AussieAliner  4 года назад +1

      We have had it for 5 years, have looked after it- keeping it in the shed also helps. We have just been on a trip to Western QLD, i have video of a lot of empty caravan parks which i plan to post in the next few weeks. I also have a leaky hot water system that i am trying to fix. Covid will pass eventually, Thx for your comments!

      Hey, I'm in North east Victoria, would be happy to store it for you if you were to let me use it in the meantime. Would be towed with my Ford Mondeo (no off road). Cheers.

    You didn't show or mention two of the great features you get there that our A-frames don't have here in the States. First, the galvanized frame (or maybe even better, aluminum) and second, the pop-out bubble windows. Sometimes we just cheep out over here. Thanks for the video.
