Wow, these tips are super helpful, especially as somebody who’s just starting out with Pokémon and who’s actually recent Nintendo Switch owner. I’ve got both let’s go Evie and let’s go Pikachu. I’m currently playing let’s go Pikachu I’m near the second gym and I’ve already got a decent set of Pokémon and they levelling up quickly. I’ve already got 17 Pokémon according to my stats when I last saved my game. Fantastic tips.

I've played and beaten Sword many times, but wow. Just started let's go Pikachu, and I absolutely love it. I think I like it better than sword.

You can mount on any Pokémon? My main concern is not be able to mount on Arcanine, I also play Pokémon go though. Any final suggestion whether to get let’s go pikachu or eevee? It’s the same city on both games, correct?
Yes same city only difference is pokemon. For example let's go pikachu has wild growlith where let's go evee has vulpix
Well not every pokemon. Most just walk with you.
Are you able to switch device mid game? I want to start off by using the Pokeball Plus to get the Mew, but once I do that I want to switch to a Joycon.

Any tips on evolving Kadabra? I know it's always been one you need to trade to evolve. But how do you go about it on Lets Go? Do I need to find another actual person who'll take my Kadabra and send it back through Nintendo Online?
Basically, yeah. The trade evolutions (Machoke to Machamp, Haunter to Gengar) are still the same.

May I ask whats the benefit of catching the same pokemon over and over again? besides, getting candies from oak and unique reward which you mentioned in the video, Will catch same pokemon continue boost my exp for my pokemon? If it does, it only boost the same pokemon i catching or the whole party??

Kaizoku It increases shiny chance and more Max ivs And it also doesn’t boost exp
There's two answers to this. So, like - every Pokemon you catch earns every Pokemon in your party EXP. That's true of every catch. The higher level and more difficult the Pokemon, the more EXP, so Pokemon in later areas that require you to use berries, ultra balls and tight timing will reward a lot more EXP.
But also there's the 'catch combo', which happens when you catch the same Pokemon IN A ROW - so, like, catching ten Pidgeys back to back. This combo builds until it's broken by a Pokemon running away from you or you catching another species. The catch combo counter thing does four things:
1) Boosts your chances of rare Pokemon spawning (IE getting something like a Lapras, Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle to spawn in the wild)
2) Raises your chance of getting a shiny Pokemon to appear
3) Boosts the IVs of Pokemon you encounter, so Pokemon encountered later in the catch chain will be more powerful
3) Earns you bonuses in terms of an EXP bonus and item rewards after a catch
People are already farming the game to get catch counters up to 100 to have really high chances of shinies, etc.
@@MrVg247 Quick question, The shiny pokemon odd to spawn is the pokemon I combo-ing? or to any pokemon will have higher chance to be shiny?
For example, If i combo caterpie over 50+, so the higher chance for shiny pokemon spawn only applied to caterpie? Or the chance apply to all other pokemon ?
@Thi-Antra Chirasarn dragonite spawns up in the air, you can reach it by defeating the champ and therefore be able to ride your charizard/dragonite/aerodactyle
There is also a rumor i've heard that you even should be able to encounter the legendary birds again...
Kaizoku when you catch the same pokemon over and over and over again that’s a combo it makes you get more candy from catching them more rare Pokémon to appear and it increases shiny odds once the combo is at 11.
How to break your combo
1: catching a diffrent pokemon
2: closing shutting off the console (sleep mode is fine)
3: having a Pokemon flee
That littlw green icon in the lower right corner-what's it mean?
It shows that co-op is available. If you detach the joy-cons and shake the second one that you disconnected (the first will be player 1) it'll activate the second player.

i mean it's not a a pro or con, just neutral. We can battle in the wild from gen 1-7 and it will be back in the mainline. No big deal. From the looks of this game it's going to be an amazing experience for those chill nights when you are smoking your blunt and chugging down a 6 pack.
yea I miss battling but the catches and pokeball really level your pokemon up. They should add battling wild pokemon as a software update because I miss trying out moves on wild pokemon. I do really like that wild pokemon are shown in the over world

And you don't have to, unless you woke up a sleeping Snorlax because they are hostile at first, but that's later in the game
How do you actually ride Snorlax?
Go to the menu, select party and select Snorlax. Click him. One of the options should say “Take Out of Pokeball” select that and you are riding Snorlax. You’re Welcome.

I need tips on making the game HARDER lol do people really have trouble with the overpowered starters and leveling system?
When you aren't using your starter, this game is ridiculously unbalanced. I've had super effective moves from correct nature pokemon do half damage while the enemy pokemon one shots with neutral moves.. from a pokemon 5 levels under it. They seriously buffed the AI mons or something.
@@murasakifjc I suspect the same. I think for important battles they have a main mon that is like a Trial Boss pokemon. Super effectives seem to do jackshit against them.

Why would you mention Pokemon GO when explaining the judge function instead of the judges in the other core games?
@@MrVg247 Where is the IV judge located in Let's GO? I'm not done with the game yet so I don't know. I feel like he would be 100% obsolete because the judge option in the Pokemon box clearly displays IVs.

Nah. This game is great and addictive. I haven't been this into a Pokemon game since I was a kid playing the original Yellow.
It's basically an update to R/B/Y but with some of the more modern aspects of Gen 7 and Pokemon Go. Basically nostalgia for most people. I quite like it actually. Makes using any Pokemon viable and not so cookie cutter meta. The only thing I don't like is that the move pools have been trimmed down too much.
Have you even played the game? For me, Sun and Ultra Sun sucked ass. I wasn’t expecting much from this game but between the new focus on catching Pokémon and the versatility of the Switch, this is a fantastic game, and is incredibly addictive

They should really make the wild pokemon invisible. That would make it more challenging rather than seeing the same pokemon you already catch floating around.
Omg this game is so boring.... I wish they would actually branch out a bit nothing feels new bc I literally did all of these things b4 just with slightly up graded graphics now.... the 2 player thing is nice I just wish they could be more then just a random second person that uses your own Pokémon and can’t interact with anything...
"already did all these things before just with better graphics" you just described every pokemon game. New trainer be given a pokemon from the local professor and tasked with completing the pokedex who is harassed by and fights a criminal organization while taking the league challenge and becoming champ. We still enjoy it. If you don't want your copy I'll take it.

Nintendo gave it us early, for review, which is why we had a review up on this channel and on VG247.com days before the game came out. :)
How to lose all your progress: Forget to hard save... I literally lost all my progress (HOURS) you have to hard save now. Thanks Nintendo for not mentioning that all your progress will be erased if you don’t save.
This game is terrible
I hate the lets go games with a passion I had so much difficulty playing them I couldn’t even beat the first gym and I had a lvl 14 odish I’ve seen people win with a lvl 9 odish so these games are the worst Pokemon games I have EVER played I hate the two of them so so much
