On the one hand, it's super obnoxious seeing tourists walk around a theme park recording every second of their experience. On the other, those tourists are probably the sole factor keeping theme park attractions properly cataloged in some form. If Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans got new life as a videogame extra, I'd love to see these 4D attractions get similar treatment.
He WAS in SDBH… for a very limited time, and then never came back. They accidentally put him in the files for World Mission though because that game is pretty much a straight port of the arcade data and he was still in there over 5 years later.
It's so crazy and such a bummer that only Japan gets the cool anime crossovers. If Universal in the USA had One Piece or Dragon Ball I would totally save up for a trip there. It'd be really cool if after they retired these attractions if they just posted the footage somewhere so we could see the "basic idea" for the experience. I'm sure there are some videos out there that people took when experiencing these themselves, but that's probably going to be tough to find.
@@skullking6017 yea I imagine some aspects of the movies might be a little weird without the audience aspect (like Goku requesting energy for the Spirit Bomb/Genki Dama) but I would still enjoy watching it either way. I also want to see the 2D animated segments of these films in high quality. The Broly one in particular is really high quality!
@@GoldenPSP Yea, that would be awkward without the interaction, but it'd still be cool to see. It'd be funny if there was a chance the audience did the fusion dance incorrectly, if "Gokudience" was the fat version instead of the "correct" version. Though, that's be a lot more work on the animator's part for something that might not be seen often.
Right! It's crazy they wouldn't try to keep capitalizing on these and release them in some sort of way, especial years after the first and only airings. Though I guess the "limited time" approach is explicitly what encourages people to get out to go see them.
This is certainly the first time I've seen this, but my GOD is the CG glorious here! The visual fidelity is on par with that arcade game that came out years before it but even more close to what would've been possible with today's gardware. The fact that we never got something likw this in a full length movie is even more of a shame especially with how much the cinematography works so well alongside it.
Ooooooh, I remember watching an anime, where there was an episode this immersive/"interactive" was used as part of the plot. I think it was GJ-bu? Maybe I'm misremembering completely, but anyway, stellar video! I vaguely remember seeing something about this, back then, but never though about it further. They seemed pretty neat.
Man they really liked making Gogeta fight Broly. Whether it had been the game openings, Super Broly movie, or that short film (even though that’s not technically Gogeta)
Sometimes, Japan can be either too polite or too uptight for their own good, I would love to see these 4D Shows have a media release, I mean it's not like they are any plans to replay these shows in the future, so why not cut their loses and release them for fans to own? and I'm even more confused why there haven't been other camera recordings either from any of the park guests
I was in Japan and went to universal at the time in 2017. Dragonball was amazing but The JoJo movie was insane, I remember the water splashing us to stimulate the blood splatter when Dio hit jotaro with the knives... And then remembering there were some really kids in the audience 😂 only in Japan 😂
I actually went to universal japan during the broly 4d movie. It was so fun all the staff where in Turtle hermit gi. And had mini introduction movable posters on the walls of of the z fighters. Before we went in the movie we got a mini movie beforehand from bulma and android 18. Outside there were also frieza in his spacepod cups probably still left over from the first movie
I'm sure with the release of this video, somebody on the internet will have the movies streamed. Don't say "can't" online. If it exists, the internet will find it.
R.I.P. Akira Toriyama. I hope the Dragon Ball series gets canceled and Sparking Zero and Daima will be the final things to come out of the franchise. Reason being because I am scared Toei and Bandai will goes against Toriyama's wishes just like Nick did with Hillenburg's. The theme park and Reese's Puffs collaborations are disrespectful enough.
Nick didn't go against Steven's wishes the same 2009 interview that everyone quotes as him not wanting spinoffs he says he never wanted to do more movies and then wrote the next 2 spongebob movies even in the interview from 2009 he didnt say no he said he just didn't see it happening at the time. The last thing Stephen worked on was the last movie and he approved the Camp Koral concept there
I remember watching this and being like “wow this is awesome I wish that blue gogeta would become canon one day”

@@DaemonCorps unfortunately I feel like Universal Studios is probably completely fine with vaulting these movies and never showing them ever again.
shit isn't annoying what other people do with their money hahahah
3:40 I love how Z Broly gets a Super Saiyan Blue equivalent here! I hope God Broly gets used more in the future! He was in SDBH!
Hoping he gets added in Sparking Zero along with his SSJ3 and SSJ4 forms...it won't happen but one can always hope

Maybe they're worried about getting that smell out of their theater....
The 3D models actually look pretty good to me (not better than fighterZ or Sparking Zero but still)
Thanking you for speaking about these! I've always wanted to watch these event exclusive films.

Universal could package a bunch of these 4D shorts together and give them a limited run in 3D in theaters in other countries at least.
They should make the Broly God story as an OVA. That will be pretty cool.
