What do you mean, "the Peak District is QUITE a nice place"? I've travelled all over Europe and Britain, and seen some sights, but for me the Peak District has it all: wildness, drama, spectacular views, history, amazing geology, climbing, stunningly beautiful rivers and dales, freedom, peace - and still some small, unspoilt villages. All in a relatively small area. It's absolutely wonderful.
There was no slight, it is indeed beautiful, it was an intended understatement. While I agree with you, for me it doesn’t match the Lakes, the highlands of Scotland and the Isle of Skye is an absolutely incredible place. Thanks for watching 👍

I live in North Yorkshire, but grew up in the PD and though Britain has many thousands of acres of beautiful countryside it is still my favourite. I'll try to find time to send you a couple of walks that I'm almost certain you won't know, in case you get chance to go back next year. Then we'll see if you think the Lakes are better! Happy wandering! 😃
