    I have a 23 F250 Tremor and it is a beast. I have seen some dyno videos where this engine makes what the factory rates them at and I have seen where they make a lot more. On "Engine Power" they had a stock 7.3 crate engine that made 502 HP and 564 TQ and Pat says "Nice job Ford for under rating your engine like a big dog". All I know is this 7.3L puts my old Dodge under the table. With that being said I do really love Dodge.

    It's really quite simple in my mind. The Ford is for a man that needs a pickup to do pickup truck things off road. The power wagon is for a Jeep boy that needs to haul dressers and mattresses for his wife on the weekends.

      Thanks for the comment, funny but true! haha I like both trucks for different reasons...just wish the PW had a real payload like a 3/4 truck should have!

      @@CTECH-REVIEW I think another thing you failed to mention, or perhaps I missed, was the fact that the Ford can be had with the diesel and the Dodge can not. Also it seems kind of misleading to give the tires on the Dodge the benefit of aftermarket at $1500 but not the same benefit to the Ford in regards to the winch.
      Given payload, towing, power, and features, although the power wagon wears a 2500 moniker. It more closely matches up with an F-150 tremor.

    i bought my 2019 power wagon fully loaded (first year with the 8 speed and 12" display) with 32 miles on it for $57,000 in Dec 2019, cant believe how much prices have increased. I would have bought a 2020 but the 2019 on the lot was still new and had the front center fold out seat and i have 4 kids and a wife so we all fit in when we go off-roading. Been a beast with no problems and we go out with the Jeep clubs, no piddly back yard stuff

    Hi , great comparison there are a couple things though I believe weren't mentioned.
    You can get the Ford XL off road package in either 6 or 8ft bed and if you get the 8ft bed you can get the 4.30 gearing and you can a larger fuel tank.
    The Tradesman Power Wagon only comes in 6ft bed and does have a lower payload but it also rides much smoother both on and off road , a much nicer ride. I believe you can buy Timbren suspension upgrade aftermarket to increase payload. Also there are aftermarket fuel tanks to increase fuel.
    Both nice trucks but the Ram is a bargain , my neighbor just bought one out the door for 52k with the large 12" entertainment center which Ford does not offer.
    The F250 winch is a factory ripp off you can add it yourself much cheaper.
    But I do like both trucks, both a deal in today's crazy market.

      Thank you for the comments and thank you for watching! there are a lot trade offs when looking at PW vs tremor or XL off road. I am glad we have some choice!

    8HP75 transmissions in Rams are sealed units, and you can't simply drain and fill to service. The Ford's are built better and provide a more robust front axle while the cabs are more utilitarian- Ram may provide a better street ride because of the rear coils instead of leafs at the cost of payload capacity.

      Thank you for the comment and for watching! I had an 8HP70 behind an ecodiesel that I did a filter change and fluid change. I need to see difference in that vs the 8HP75, but I believe they are similar. not that hard to service luckily if its like the 8HP70.

    Power Wagon is the only way to go if you need both a highway and off road truck! Power Wagon gets better mpgs, is quicker and rides much better than a Tremor! The ONLY reason to buy the Tremor is for additional towing capacity.

    He’s wrong, drive shaft doesn’t turn until you turn the knob to 4wd. Once you turn on 4wd it engages the transfer case which turns the drive shaft and axles.

    I'm a ford guy but the powerwagon is alot better off road from the factory. I bought a ford and building it to compete has been impossible because in 2023 ford changed the front axle and nobody makes a locker for it yet. A big heavy truck needs a front locker and I can't get one now.

    • @bradboyd883

      ARB makes one. It’s a Dana 60 front axle

      Ford doesn’t derate the GVWR on the Tremor like Ram does on the Power Wagon.

    • @rockie307
      @rockie307 13 дней назад +1

      No it's not. They swapped to smaller axle all 2023 and newer f250 and f350s come with 9.25 ring gear. Ive got one and also it's right in the manual. Ford done it secretly and alot of people don't know they silently quit the dana 60. And my comment was about off road capabilities not payload.

    • @AK_Ray
      @AK_Ray 13 дней назад +2

      @@rockie307tremor still has the full Dana 60 front, and a limited slip is a locker it's just an automatic one.

    • @rockie307
      @rockie307 13 дней назад +1

      @AK_Ray No all 23 and newer come with the 9.25" dana front all model f250s and f350s tremors or not they all have the same front axle and a limited slip is not a locker. The limited slip slips just as the name says and a locker locks just as the name says. I'm not speculating or reading off the internet I've been to two different ford dealers about mine and climbed under tremors comparing and they are identical other than the limited slip installed on the tremor. The dealer will sell and install the same limited slip the tremor has they checked parts and numbers and verified. Funny thing the dealer didn't even know ford changed the front axle and argued with me also until he got on the computer and confirmed they are identical and the new dana 9.25 is the only option no matter the trim. You can however get different rear axles as options the base m275 or the new sterling 11.6 as a upgrade. Ive been to dealers and even spoke to arb and eaton customer service and none of them currently make a front locker even though they haven't updated the catalog.

    The Power wagon is built to pull the FOrds out when they have hit their limit, The Ram is just getting started.off road when the Ford has hit its limit. Power wagon rides so much better off road but comes at the price of pay load. You can't have both.

    Gentlemen looking at the ford… gear ratio is everything with the Godzilla engine. 4.30 gears makes you feel like you got what you paid for.. drove another version with the 3.73(or whatever the highway gears were) and it was an absolute dog.. 0-60 was over 8 seconds and it towed like shit

      If your looking for mpg get a half ton diesel truck.
