Weather next week is given good from Tuesday to Friday. Great video as always. Ur very honest not many farmers would b the same after damaging a machine. Keep up the good work. The time u take out to make the videos is much appreciated.
John O ' Shea thanks John. Hope fully that forecast is right. We get at it done next week. Well I am fairly honest in all my videos. I said from the start I’d say it as it was. Good with the bad. Farming isn’t always plain sailing. Things go wrong and we all make mistakes.
Nice to see a good quality Irish farming youtuber. keep up the good work Gerry..... been a sub for the last few mouths and very happy with the content.
Neusa C this time last year we had just begun start of our hot weather that continued for 7 weeks. We would like few weeks of that weather again. You could have our rain in Phoenix 😊
Nice video, yes weather is hellish here in Central Scotland, the weather has been bad for a week, every day getn wetter, l think a lot of dairy boys have missed the boat, it will take at least a week to dry and that's a good week or they will get there fields ploughed as well, l won't be cutting mine till after the Highland show.
Ahhh the joys a doing your own grass hei!!! That overrun had to be done Ger....jeez bad things were destined if let go......but saying that ye got away light with repairs and costs.... great to be able to do your own spanner work wa!!! Long range is dodgy but its to pick up from next Monday on. Herrons are looking good too lad! Right, keep the faith and stay safe bud!! Im back at the old sod in Kerry next week to check out the JCB 434 that was got for grass …..maybe a vid of me pushing up a load in one go might be in the cards!!!!!!!! BTW lad 17k subs.... hon the Gerry Possy!!!!!!!
Francis Walsh yes if ur contracting ya need to do them. their alright so far. Havnt has to do them yet. If doing big acres you need do them regular.only lifting 100 acres a year roughly.but we Keep an eye on them
Nice video Gerry have never used a JF machine was always claas, is the sharpenin stone on rails over the blades, an does it have an adjustable shear bar 🤔👍👍
Robert Paterson yes it has a sharping stone but I don’t use it anymore. I find it never sharpened blades enough. I even put a new one in it. Still wasn’t happy with how it worked.
I swear this year is screwed up. I'm looking at mowing hay never mind silage! 😂. Not gonna happen for a while I think now. Out on a tractor rally this weekend, it's great when the weather man says "Saturday isn't a day for outdoor activities " 😂😂😣
Yeah sounds about right! Definitely easier to laugh than cry, is hard though! Oh the big girl will be out all right! Hopefully get a few vid of her going there and the road run 😊
on your chopper on the opposite side to the knifes there will be a opening there should be a handle there for the grinding sone that is built in to it instead of using a grinder
Thomas Ashurst yes it has a sharping stone but I don’t use it anymore. I find it never sharpened blades enough. I even put a new one in it. Still wasn’t happy with how it worked. I just drop the chute and run grinder on them. Only take few minutes.
Don't be like our neighbours and disconnect the metal detector and a pick up tine went in the flywheel stalled the MF 6480 gen 3 bent the flywheel, bent the shear bar, bent the chassi, bent the pick up and snapped the pto in two. It was like £40k damage for a hundred pound sensor or something like that.
@valleyboy Silly comment. I for one saw no adds, nor would it bother me if I did. He’s taking time out of his life to make videos for our entertainment free of charge to you and me. I’ll happily watch an add if it means he can keep this going. Smarten up
@@ghostrider7688 shut up you the video is perfect if often seen other youtube videos with loads more adds fuck up and apprentice something in your shite life
Shane Mulvihill think I’ll block you shane... your what everyone calls a troll I believe. Anyone getting demonetized is for going against youtube house rules. I’ve no say in what youtube advertise on my channel. Sounds like your a little sore with youtube over something. Let’s all go look at your RUclips channel with its 3 subscribers in 6 years. Your flying. Keep up the good work shane m 👍
I pop in a few add in each video. There’s adds on everything you watch these days Whether it’s on Facebook or watching your favourite programme on TV. Usually you only see 1 at start and one durning the video. As I said it pays for camera gear and will help improve the quality of the footage going forward. . New gopro last month was 450€. RUclips pays for that over few months. As I said. Just skip through. Small price to pay.

Joey83 they will recover now
Hi Gerry what swarts do u put through the 900 if it's a heavy crop do u just leave it in singles or do u always double them up

does the 900 mean 900mm cutting cylinder
What output do you get per hour with the jf gerry
brian crowley depends on the crop and field size/shape but I suppose on average you can lift around three or 4 acres Per hour.
I hope it rains on Tuesday 🙏🏻🌟
Sue Foxie 😉😊
Is it only your own you do?
King long Draw yes just ours. I’d probably do few others locally if I was asked.
How many knifes do u run
we run a full set.
The weather was so fecked that we have to do pit after 4 instead of bales
Kieran 6215 I’d rather pit. Depends on your set up thought I suppose
