Great job with the harvest. I bet it's a relief after the year we've had. U should put a cover crop in that field over the winter it will leave it drier in the spring and feed the ground too.
It’s all about timing Gerry and this week will wrap up all the outstanding third cuts and the remaining spring crops to be harvested. Great crop of grass for 3rd cut! The field you and your dad were in at the same time was that the reseeded ground? Looked a right crop on it.
You said their were a lot of docks in reseaded ground had the same thing two years ago a complete carpet . I wonder if it comes in the seed great video
@@seansugrue2213 I use a cheap sheep dip and wash the cattle with it. I’ve a small pump set up on a barrel and it’s great to do them with. Usually in early January
Not an issue here. I’d No slurry on ground. Can see marks where it had been but zero slurry there. I checked well before mowing and inspected after. Never assume….
Watching that JD Combine working Gerry, reminded me of my stint in America on the 2000 mile Harvest..what an experience it truly was..🚜🚜
Great to get the good weather for the harvest and the last of the silage
Great video Gerry. Nice to see good weather, makes harvest bit easier. Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼👍🏼

I was wondering the same. Was some docks in field before being ploughed but nothing like the carpet that appeared after the reseeding

Which is your favourite job on the farm to do and which would be your least favourite
Will there be a front mower coming on the new JD?
Not at the minute. Unless I’m gifted one. I might start a go fund me 😂😂
I hate when you mow grass and you can still see the slurry marks from the dribble bar!!!! This definitely helps in making poor silage
