I love this scene because it’s reminding me that God is always listening even when we don’t feel like he is listening
I named my son Nathanael. My son passed away from cardiac arrest two years ago at the age of 16. When I saw this scene it gave me the strength i need and knowing God will never leave me in the midst of the storm. 🙏🏻😔

A lot of people don’t like this show. I like it because it kept me focused on the word. It kept my thoughts pure. It allowed me to look up Bible verses for accuracy. It tested how much I knew about the Bible. It encouraged me to read the Bible more… I would watch this sometimes just to give me some strength. I don’t have any friends or family. All I have is GOD OUR FATHER. Some times I think I’m not doing enough for his kingdom…
The faith the size of a mustard seed. You're doing great. Life is good when Christ is front and center where he belongs.

Yes.. Yes.. The world might make fun of me because i follow Jesus, i know it because i was one of them once. Oh how it break my heart to felt the damage the ridicule, open or discreetly, to believer.
I felt it now too when i put my faith in Jesus. The ridicule of people who mentions "where is your God? Why He had not Healed you? You said you pray for this project? Why you don't get it? Don't you believe your God for sustenance? The so called daily bread from heaven?? Why he doesn't give it to you? Maybe He is disgusting because you used to deny Him? Ain't you professional in this? Why pray for wisdom before working? Don't you have self confidence? Why you need to pray for imaginary old man in heaven?"
But when i saw this scene, i burst out in tears.

@@nobel87ableim blessed truly in that this is no issue too me, i proudly take on the humility, too scared of denying him that he will deny me infront the father. But my battle now, i pray you don’t have too fight it. All our walks are different, be faithful & submit (which im learning too do now, when i need it most)!!! ✝️

I didnt always stick with god but he always stuck with me. Im now 100% devoted to jesus and the father. I am a sinful man butni ask and pray for forgiveness. God has never turned away from me! AMEN!
I was crying under a tree once crying out to God like this and God reminded of this verse. Within that very week I had a woman lay hands on me and quote this very verse to me. God is amazing!

Like Nathanael we often doubt God for not answering but i tell you he never forsaken us and he is always watching us

It is my favorite too. I cried when Jesus told him “I saw you”, knowing that God sees my tears and hears my cries and prayers even though it may seem like he isn’t there sometimes.

I can’t articulate how much this scene means to me. Jesus is always so close to us. Life isn’t always easy, but when it’s the hardest he’s there to comfort us. He’ll never turn his face from us. Can I get an Amen?!
That instant when Nathanael recognizes the Messiah, that look in the eyes, it hits me every time.
Considering I watched this show after I felt God totally abandoned me during an injury I had literally after praying, "I saw you under the fig tree" was a very powerful moment for me. I'll also note, while I didn't feel God when I was alone in the dark in the woods with my bike nor in the ER, I actually didn't break any bones and was not truly held back... my life trajectory continued and true good things started coming after that injury. He didn't hide His face. He's always there.
about 4 months ago i had 2 strokes and now back at home alone, i love it its peaceful. people dont understand that, on top of othewr health issues i may not live long (46 YRS NOW) BUT there has never been more peace in my heart than now. i know worries are supposed to be causing me stress and sadness but i feel nothing but relief and trust in Jesus that he has me and i need nothing else , yes physically i am struggling but he shows me how to be strong.
KING OF KING, LORD OF LORD, HEAR MY VOICE LORD. I NEED YOU RIGHT NOW. 😭 IN JESUS NAME.🙏😭 YOU ARE THE ONLY HOPE I HAVE.😭

One little nuance that I love about this scene (great acting on the part of the actor playing Nathaniel) is when Jesus touches him and he's just like "My LORD in the flesh just TOUCHED ME."

When Jesus says " There it is " .....after seeing Nathanael suddenly realize he is speaking with The Lord. That Moment...will be the greatest moment of my life.

I love all the scenes some very much from this show but this one felt personal to me as an artist. Having some talent but never going anywhere with it.. my eagerness autism and adhd hindered me squashed by people who don’t really care about it. It helped also remind me that I’m never alone. Poor Nathaniel at the start.. I can wait to see what Jesus says to me when I see Him for real. I prayed after having a 14 day stomach virus and His presence was here with me.. and I heard an “Hey”. One time that happened I was scared but I wasn’t anymore. Perhaps I shall not be distracted but try to do a painting weekly for God.

This didnt happen at his ascension, it will most likely happen in his second coming.

Hes one of the 12 disciples, his name in most of the gospels is Bartholomew, he was a martyr (just like most disciples) and he was martyred in India according to Eusebius and Saint Jerome (it's debatable). And he spread Christanity to Armenia along with the disciple Thaddeus
