I have nms on pc and switch. Stepped away from switch with freighter crashes. On pc love the new expedition format and outlaw freighter. The mutlitool staff from the expedition is now my primary tool.

I’m happy they are continuously pushing out updates. I have waited a long time to pick this up and finally did on switch! Hearing about all the crashing makes me nervous 🤞 have a pc but prefer to play this on the go being a busy dad LOL. Thank you for the content man.

I totally forgot about the Steam Deck 🤣 I don't have one but it must also be a great way to play No Man's Sky 👍😎 I did see online that the battery life is a bit on the lower side... Main issue i had was back to back crashes when ever im in the sme system as my freighter and instant crash when opening the Frighters mission menu i done reported it but i know i had no issue doing it before the omega update, i even crashed when exiting the minotaur exocraft, but since the omega update came out ive had more game crashes in the past 3 days than when i first got the game which was about 2-3 weeks prior I had the occasional crash when ever landing on a Freighter about %10 of the time, and when i play long time on it which is understandable, but i was still able to play for the most part
Sorry to hear that you are having issues with the new update also 😓 Whenever a new update lands it seems to cause crashes for some people and fix them for others. I really hope they fix these issues soon for Nintendo Switch 👍. Freighter/Frigate crashes have been a problem for a long time now and should really have been fixed. Obviously, it is not easy to fix, but at least let the commumity know they are working on it. Thank you for commenting and watching the video. Hopefully a new patch will fix these crashes 👍😁
It may also be the case they need more testers for switch as they could be relying on feedback to address issues, as i mostly see videos on PC mainly with a few PlayStation and xbox platform, and hardly any on switch

Yeah switch expedition glitchy rn, i just finished but as soon as i claim the ship it says itll convert to main save then just stops letting me use buttons, its not frozen, just none of the buttons can be used now and idk why
This happens to me sometimes when leaving a ship in a space station 😓. To fix this I press the home button and then resume the game. I hope this helps 😄 If not, this is something Hello Games hopefully will fix in a patch. Thanks for commenting on the video and watching too 👍😁

If you claim the starship while on a harsh planet and die itll override that frozen state and go ahead of it, be warned if your on a main save and try this with full ships tho cus it automatically claimed for me but idk if itll just delete ships if you full on then

I have seen these in the game but I don't use freighters on Switch as these tend to give alot of issues with crashing. I hope this helps 🏆😃

This is a difficult question as it is very subjective... 🤔 Because, I like a game, does not mean others would. Also, value is dependent on what each person enjoys or expects from a game. Value also depends on each person. Is a game worth $20 or $50? A factor of worth is also based on how much expendable capital each person has. The other day someone asked me if they should buy NMS. I said no. The reason is that they like space simulators and they enjoy the simulator aspect. They like mining asteroids but not just by pressing one button to do it. They like landing their ship manually... Basically alot of busy work to do simple tasks. This is not NMS. NMS is a space exploration game which expects you to explore alot and manage resources. This would not fit their gameplay style. For me, someone who liked NMS since the beginning and had my expectations based low. I enjoyed and still enjoy the game ( more so with each update on Nintendo Switch ). Flying from the planets seamlessly into space never gets old. I also liked the game so much that I dedicated alot of time to also make content for it on RUclips. So I would ask what games do you like? Do you enjoy alot of story? Do you like multiplayer games? Do games have to run at 60fps for you? Have you watched some let's plays of the game and think that looks fun to you? Also, do you like the idea of playing NMS on a handheld? Expedition rewards like the Starborn Runner spaceship and Atlas Scepter are now unavailable ( until an expedition rerun which happens once a year, usually at the end of the year ). However, the new features the Omega update added to the game are available. The new expeditions desk in the nexus, expeditions overhaul, outlaw freighters, missions notification selection etc... If you bought a retail edition of No Man's Sky, then you might need to manually update the game. To access the newest update you will need to: 1. Toggle wifi on. 2. Highlight the game icon and press the + button. Select "Software Update", on the right select "Via the Internet". This should update No Man's Sky on Switch to version 4.5.2 (most recent version up to today). Sorry for the long reply. Hopefully, this helps 👍🏆😃

Just takes a few days longer to get the update itself 😓 The game plays well and now and looks better than ever on Switch. You can play the whole game offline in handheld mode, which is a big plus. I play No Man's Sky exclusively on Switch now. I did play the game for years on Windows before. Now with the Switch version running so well (for me), being portable and having good gyro controls, I prefer playing the game on Switch 👍😃. I think it is important to know what features are not included in No Man's Sky on Switch: ● Base building limitations ● Full mouse & keyboard support ● Limited to 30fps ( not 60+ ) ● Lower draw distance ● Lower graphical resolution ● Lower texture detail ● Multiplayer ● Player owed settlements ● Pop-in is more apparent on Switch ● Terrain Manipulator has lag issues ● VR Mode Crashes for some players caused by: ● Freighters ● Frigates ● Sentinel Planets ● Sentinel Ships I think that is everything and hope this list helps 😄. Universe 🤣 Warframe wise, I would not say NMS is not like that at all ( I haven't played Warframe ) from what I have seen. Warframe seems more action based, while NMS is more explore and potentially survival game ( depending on the difficulty setting you choose ). Morphite is interesting. NMS is a much, much bigger Morphite like game in terms of exploration and scanning items, flora and fauna. With content NMS is really what you make of it. There is a story mode, missions, expeditions, frequent FREE content updates, cooking, companions, vehicles, you can create bases, farms or creature, item, language, ship collecting etc... But all in all it is difficult to recommend. There are alot of people that might get bored of NMS 😓. I don't as I like to goto new planets scan stuff and collect ships and so on 👍😄 Playing this game anywhere on a handheld is also something special. No Man's Sky is a unique game that I can't find any other like it. I would say to watch more content, specially recent let's plays on the game for Nintendo Switch and potentially wait for a sale 😃 Sorry again for the long reply 😊

Unfortunately, no the Switch is still missing multiplayer and settlements in comparison to other platforms.

If you know the limitations of the Switch version of NMS like no multiplayer and 30ish fps from the beginning, I think it helps to enjoy the game.

Thanks . I was looking for a free roam. Warframe type game. I played morphite for iOS . I just want a game like that , that I can continue to play and enjoy without content dehydration

Free Roam definitely works NMS is very open world... Galaxy... Universe 🤣
Warframe wise, I would not say NMS is not like that at all ( I haven't played Warframe ) from what I have seen. Warframe seems more action based, while NMS is more explore and potentially survival game ( depending on the difficulty setting you choose ).
Morphite is interesting. NMS is a much, much bigger Morphite like game in terms of exploration and scanning items, flora and fauna.
With content NMS is really what you make of it. There is a story mode, missions, expeditions, frequent FREE content updates, cooking, companions, vehicles, you can create bases, farms or creature, item, language, ship collecting etc...
But all in all it is difficult to recommend. There are alot of people that might get bored of NMS 😓. I don't as I like to goto new planets scan stuff and collect ships and so on 👍😄
Playing this game anywhere on a handheld is also something special.
No Man's Sky is a unique game that I can't find any other like it.
I would say to watch more content, specially recent let's plays on the game for Nintendo Switch and potentially wait for a sale 😃
