While watching this video, after two (lucky) jumps I stumbled upon the space battle and disabled the dreadnought. Upon speaking to the captain turns out this is an S class dreadnought freighter with 25 cargo and 13 tech. And the freighter only costs 60 million units. This dreadnought is better than my last two freighters. Helpful guide and a quick thumbs up. PS I got mine Class S Dreadnought for FREE!!!
Yup it’s like a redemption arc for most players with less than s class capital freighter. Another good news the game now seems to allow any freighter rescue to turn to something akin free transfer of ownership for rescued freighters. I noted it had happened twice, yes even I had already own a freighter.
@@Akideoni I'd like to see a rework of inside the freighters especially upon landing. Then I like to have more space battles and then aliens hunting us upon landing on planets.
MAN OH MAN!!! First off all I can say is if it wasn't for this guide I would've never found an S class dreadnought! Now as for how long it took. Lets just say I got it after trying damn near all day. Congrats, Brother! Thanks for watching my video. Also, if you ever have difficulty finding another pirate dreadnought battle on a new save, try claiming any random freighter first, then head to an outlaw star system. Owning a freighter prior to triggering the battle seems to help.
I was fortunate enough to get the S-Class after only 4 restores... I was yelling in excitement and felt as if I had obtained a boon from RNGesus itself. Lovely video!
Absolutely awesome! Pirate dreadnoughts are super cool but sometimes i get too attached to a certain B class dreadnought. But i love the design of the pirate ones, but i feel like some people will stick with their old freighter, others will ditch their old one, Great video as always!

I really wish HG would let us own more than one freighter. I have a cool sentinel design freighter, and it would be cool to get a pirate one too, but you can only own one. 😢 Another thing cool to add would be a way to blast the doors open yourself, and take it down or something inside out. Freighters are the thing most expandable after everything done so far.
@@OddManGaming I got the PSVR2 for the PS5. It's more affordable than many vr headsets, and in my opinion it's better than almost all of the ones available on PC.
My first pirate dreadnought I got S class first try. My second character had to kill about 90 pirate dreadnoughts before dropping a S class. At least I can now take them down in 3-4 minutes.
Thanks for watching! My first S-class Dreadnought took about two hours of farming, but during one of my livestreams about a month ago, I found an S-class after two tries. The RNG is real!
I was able to get my S-Class fairly easy.I kept jumping from a neighbour system to the Pirate one.Was able to farm at least 30k Nanites,Cargo Mods and 3k reputation with the Gek faction. On top of that you can recruit Pirate frigates around the ship. You don't see any icons but can get a radio frequency when near one. Got 6 of 'em with nice red wings. Icing on the cake,you can get the civilian cargo too when the battle is over....but we are not here for that!

If you remember where your Outlaw system was, the battle is supposed to be still raging on with the same ship with the same name. I did it in my game. Pretty sure the pirate captain is begging me to stop visiting him :D
No need to take out the anti ship turrets, just the engines and anti freighter guns. You can also use your freighter as your restore point (if you have one already)

The Dreadnought worth 69 millions. Nice. I didn't know about doing this before, Thank you. Yeah, she's massive but I don't think she's as long as the Resurgent-class (The Flat, W I D E and L O O N G Freighter you just trade away) I wonder if the Laser Cannon are gonna shoot the enemy Pirate Dreadnought when you summon it durring the fight. I once summon my Frieghter near them and my ship actually get shot by Laser Cannons. The ship's alarm is blaring when I got back to her after the fight. I play my 2nd save in permadeath mode and I just rob the Dreadnought from the Pirate and says "I am the Captain now!" (it just so happens to be A-Rank when I found her.) My first save file have the Resurgent-class and since I didn't know about this trick back then. I just have to keep jumping from one system to another over and over for hours per day and FOR 3 DAYS!! To find a Resurgent-class that is also an S-Rank. I finnally found it and it exhausted me... Which I know about this first... I like the Resurgent-class because I like them FLAT ! 😂 "The Gek are pretty cool." Yeah, we not gonna talk about that the Gek have the ability to use their pheromones to make you want to buy things from them. That why the Gek usually Merchants...

Been following a couple of guide vids that direct players to systems with Dreadnaughts, So far I've not found one after 10-20 various warps to those systems. I have completed Artemis and am up to 'The Purge' in the main quests, Atlas Eternal, in the atlas quest, and have completed building a base and all the staff missions. I've not done Dreams of the Deep, A Planet in Distress or Under a Rebel Star. Are any of these preventing me spawning the dreadnaught?
Thanks for watching. You shouldn't need to do anything extra on your saves to trigger a pirate dreadnought battle. It may be necessary for you to complete "A Trace of Metal" sub-quest for the Settler's Story quest.
@OddManGaming I've completed that, and tried warping to systems that supposedly had dreadnought, and still can't get one to spawn. All I have left is the rest of a settlement missions, and the atlas eternity ( showing it wonders)

However, just in case, try unlocking an Autophage Camp (abandoned camp), then search for the dreadnought in an outlaw system. Hope this helps.

Hello im curious why you need to reload the save point? Does this make a higher chance to get S-class or any other reason? Because i just go out to another system and then come back and the freighter still do spawn. But got no luck with S-class. Always got C,B, or A.
Hello. Thanks for watching. Reloading your manual restore point at the station prior to your Dreadnought battle will reset the battle and randomize the dreadnought class. It's easier than jumping back and forth between systems.

Hi, i warped to a pirate system, got a dreadnought battle but before i fought the dreadnought i went into the station and set my restore point and then left the station and fought it but when i reloaded by restore point after seeing it was a c class, i didn’t get another battle, is it guaranteed or only a chance even with the restore point?
Thanks for watching! Since you created a restore point in the pirate system during the freighter battle, you'll need to hyperspace 5 more times to get another freighter battle. Remember to create a restore point on your fourth hyperspace jump before heading back to the pirate system. Hope this helps.
Ok, so I'm using the system you posted coords for, and i'm just getting a regular battle, no pirate dreadnought at all. I started a fresh save after not playing for a while so I'm going to advance the storyline missions further and try again later, but can you confirm whether or not there should always be a dreadnought in battles that trigger in the outlaw system you posted the address to at 13:10 in the vid?
Thanks for watching. Your best chance at triggering a pirate dreadnought battle is in a pirate/outlaw system. I recommend completing some of the story quests including unlocking an Autophage camp. Hope this helps.
@@OddManGaming I found my problem, it was story locked, I was running missions in that same area and warped back into that system to deal with my settlement there and got the full scale battle with dreadnought. It happened shortly after clearing the mission where you get the 3 sets of portal glyphs, I had used the save editor to unlock portal access early and it looks like a good chunk of the newer content (pirate dreadnoughts and crashed sentinel ships specifically) were hidden behind either that mission completion or one shortly after.

So, grab any random freighter and try warping 5 times to an outlaw system. Make sure you create a manual restore point at a space station or planet on your 4th hyperspace jump before making your fifth jump. This will allow you to reload your restore point and try again. Hope this helps.
Yeah this is easy he says using an endgame save with maxed out ship... It's easy to destroy stuff and ignore other ships shooting at you.... Try this on a new save, on survival 3 hours in, see if you survive ignoring ships shooting you while you use weak guns to take out the engines...

So you can potentially farm two different freighters at the same time? Like get an s class on both?

I found a Class A with many slots. In a few jumps, i found an S class with fewer storage slots. The same thing happened with my solar ship

One big problem. All of the freighter battles are small ships then get a normal freighter. No actual freighter battles at all. How to fix this?

My capital ship was a Korvax A class, but I have a Gek Pirate (it's ok, though- I'm not prejudice)
Civilian freighter has plenty of water. As long as they drink water, they'll be fine

You may need to own a freighter before you can trigger a dreadnought battle. Remember that your first freighter is free.
Have reloaded about 50 times and nothing but C class. in a pirate controlled system. Bad luck :(

I guess the official probabilities are 5 on a pirate system that's 20 ish reloads tops, keep going!

I'm.trying right now, already tried 10 pirate frigates, best I got those first tries was an A class a bunch of C's and B's
