In my own experience, fans in this community under 16 cannot handle themselves, and would do poorly in close proximity with their favorite streamer. I’m aware this is also a problem for people over 16, but a majority are mature enough to understand how to act responsibly at a concert. I’ve noticed especially on Twitter, younger fans have a difficult time keeping their mouth shut. You don’t need to comment on everything, act like a normal person for once. Also I don’t think I’d be comfortable going to a concert and hearing a 14-year-old cishet white girl screaming about how she wants to have sex with the lead singer (trust me, I know for a fact there’d at least be one kid)

If I went into the concert and saw 14-16 year olds there, I don’t think I would really be comfortable being at the show simply cus a bar environment is quite a unsafe place. If lovejoy did a concert in a proper performance venue it would be a lot more comfortable safety wise to have people who are underage to be there. Artists can get a lot of demographic information from whatever services they put there music on so I’m sure Lovejoy consulted that information before deciding

I was in class with a table with two of my friends and these 2 girls I just met. We were talking music and I got asked what band I liked and I said "Lovejoy." One of the girls I dont know says, "Me too!" And we just shared a very knowing look as we are both on a huge inside level of knowledge that no one else at the table knows about It was a gratifying moment.
