That's actually a cool idea, "160 applications and have 1 interview" sounds crazy. Is this in USA? 9 years in IT in Europe, and can tell now is the worst year to get a job, in spite of 2021 was absolutely crazy year with unbelievable growth of salaries, and companies hiring anyone who has at lest some experience. But to start always was the most complicated part. Earlier or later you will achieve what you want if you are dedicated enough. IT is just any other sector of economy (and its stocks) has periods of growment, and downfall. Just right now for 2 years its squeezing. (But actually considering AI hype it should have been drowing, imo) Also cool that you are already trying Linux, it will be helpful, because a lot of servers on Linux. I think it's because of world instability right now, a lot of money investments flows into military now instead of IT, and maybe a little bit because of crazy overhiring by big companies during 2nd part of Covid.
No1 watching these anyways and if some1 did the chat was distract me heavy. I am doing it so people can sub and see if i commit so it keeps me accountable.
