i do actually wanna be an anthropologist for this community and write a serious academic or literary investigation, moreso for the now 'finished' dsmp storyline drama/peril/hell in particular. or perhaps a character study on the couple of fictional clowns on that server who kept my interest (i have no interest in these ppls personal lives, respectfully. i have my own friends, family and cousins who didn’t ask to be on the internet too.) and document What the Fuck was Going On but alas. no degree. oh well !

I remember my first year of high school I argued to with my teacher to let my friend and I do a poster on a country about L'manberg. I'm in my final year of high school, that teacher still has that poster up and I cringe at the lack of thoughts running through my head at the time.

A fun little tidbit that this video just made me remember. As a ConnorEatsPants fan, I can tell you that pretty much everybody in Connor's chat HATED the Minecrafter fans during the DSMP era, to the point where if somebody from the DSMP raided him, the entire chat would try and "chase the Minecrafters away." And one of the common tactics people would use to try and chase away the Minecrafters was spamming the chat with the message, "PLANDEMIC PogChamp PLANDEMIC PogChamp PLANDEMIC PogChamp." (Since, you know, the original face of PogChamp actually believed in that conspiracy.) I don't know if it ever worked, but I vividly remember that happening multiple times.

i was on both smptwt and dsmptwt & despite all the drama it was really formative for me and it's still nostalgic. And now, being older, I realize a lot of it was not that serious we were just like... chronically online 14-year-olds with nothing better to do. 10:43 The funny thing about this one is that it's actually from that night when Gnelly had a party (don't remember where) where no one was following covid guidelines, and I guess memeulous was there so the comment poked fun at that.
there were a bunch of European creators at the party and pictures got leaked. It was one of those rare moments where instead of hating on/cancelling everyone, Twitter had an actual fun time making fun of the creators that were there since there was really nothing else to do, there were a LOT of creators there (I'm pretty sure you were there jack). there's a compilation of tweets and stream comments out there somewhere
the only downside of that was I guess Gnelly panicked and thought Twitter was cancelling her and she put out an apology/defense tweet saying that everyone was mad at her when most people were just making fun. It was like two years ago I don't remember exactly what happened
