I really hope to see JR West apply bilingual announcements on this route soon.

JR west are currently introducing bilingual announcements to trains running major routes as well as routes where tourists often ride. Osaka Higashi line is one of the last remaining lines where the announcements are still done by conductor.

    次は221系…でもトイレが着くのはいいことだけど国鉄型が無くなるのは悲しいし。いつも甲種を撮りに行く時とかに東線よく使ってたからラストランには絶対に乗りたいと思ってる。

What do the Romaji characters define? (such as at: 1:01) This would obviously mean that rail staff would be required to know another language apart from Japanese.

ATS stands for Automatic Train Stop, maybe at that place it switches between two systems. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automatic_train_stop#Japan

ATS S->P indicates a change of current ATS on the tracks. The change is automatic. Without getting technical, ATS-P is more precise and thus allows for faster speeds without compromising safety.

The part between 2:27 and 10:37 was recently converted from at-grade to elevated I believe.

The Osaka-Higashi Line is a new line that opened in 2019, but most of it was converted from a freight line. 3:49 is where the line merges with the freight track.
When this was a freight-only line, it was a single track. The truss bridge that the train crosses at 5:55 was originally used as a track on one side and the pedestrian bridge on the other. The pedestrian bridge was removed and new tracks were built to create a double track.
      ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%B7%80%E5%B7%9D%E6%A9%8B%E6%A2%81_(%E3%81%8A%E3%81%8A%E3%81%95%E3%81%8B%E6%9D%B1%E7%B7%9A)
The Osaka-Higashi Line terminates at Kyuhoji Station, but this train is a "direct rapid" train from Kyuhoji Station to Nara, going directly to the Yamatoji Line.

    おおさか東線はどちらかというと通勤路線やから近郊形の221系は違和感があると思う
    ここは通勤形の207系、321系にしてほしい

At this case , speed of the train is not the most important thing !!!

Becaus the video camera is behind the driver's seat, the cameraman has to zoom in a lot, and because of that it makes far away objects look close. This is why it looks really slow even though it is not.
