As an INT650 owner, my observations PROS: 1) Brutual power and torque 2) Smooth and refined engine 3) Cheapest Twin cylinder 4) Upright position and comfort ride 5) Retro look and bulky design, a headturner 6) Pillion comfort 7) Dual channel ABS 8) Tank like build quality, more metal parts and good quality plastic 9) Lots of customisation available CONS: 1) No liquid cooling, oil cooling with radiator 2) Heats up in city riding, which reaches to thighs 3) Heating of feets, should use shoes while riding 4) Mileage, avg of 18-20 kmpl in City under normal driving conditions. If driven aggressively then 13-16. 5) RE service is below average 6) Spare parts are costly and as well as the maintainence 7) Electrical problem kicks in above 10,000 kms itself. RR unit position is acquired and it fails early. 8) Undulations can be felt in potholes( Can be corrected by changing after market fork oil) 9) Instrument cluster lacks features for 650 standard
RE gave us one of the cult classic bike for our generation. Collectors will buy these in future or modify them to electric. As they are so time less they will still look cool
Continental GT is a retro cafe racer. Its got that old school charm .. no wonder they haven't really changed the aesthetics of the bike ! couldn't be any better .. proud owner of Continental GT since last 4 years. The speedometer is basic because it adds charm ! Digital cluster on an old school bike doesn't sound appealing

I get 16-20 kmpl but I tend to ride at higher revs and lower gears. Same on my 390 too. It is possible to get higher economy if you take it easy on the throttle and gear changes.
Why do you need a gear indicator on a motorcycle. If you own the bike, you will soon get a feel for the appropriate rpm at which you need to shift gears. It has a tachometer so that alone makes it so easy.

Man I just wonder why everyone promotes led lights for a modern classics bike..halogen looks the best and interceptor’s halogen bulbs are even more powerful than the the current led headlamps and halogen has better visibility during fog.. I just don’t understand the stupid concept of led headlamp on a classic motorcycle like interceptor.. a classic motorcycle needs to stay classic .. now since it’s “modern” classic maybe they could use led turn lamps and taillights which would give that modern feel and a halogen headlamp which doesn’t ruin the classic look…
Bought it 2 days back, rode downhill, and on my way back bikes rear brakes failed. Total 150km driven. Called agency and they told me to wait 5minutues to cool down the brake pads. So much inconvenience in so little time.😢

Between the two, the comfier ergos on the Interceptor definitely make it a better tourer. But you will need the touring seat if you want to do properly long distances. If your touring involves mostly smooth highways, then the Super Meteor is the best tourer of the three 650s. But there, too, you'll want to get the touring seat.
Enfeild interceptor 650cc bike is very stylish but the inflation is very high which is difficult for lower class people to buy. The price should be reduced a little. Thanks
I don't understand everyone's complain with a clock and a gear position indicator dude if you are used to riding motorcycles you never need a great position indicator and as for clock mostly have a wrist watch and in current times a smart watch at that one right about few cms away from the spedo on your wrist and mostly people mount big screen phones on the handle bars it's these are not needed features in the spedo
Wake me up when they put O2 sensor and better rear brake lever that cab be used with dress shoes for non interceptor model. Also get rid of extra wide exhaust and make it look slim.
The Interceptor is not an ideal bike for touring. The engine heats up like madness, literally you can set up a barbeque on the go 😂🤣 The pegs and handlebar position is also way too cramped for a 6'2 85kg guy like me. You lean forward, not in a sporty manner like a naked or a faired bike. Otherwise, rest all are good 👍
Actually, an engine stays coolest on the highway because there is plenty of air blowing over it. I haven't felt an excessive amount of heat from my Interceptor's engine but it is not even 6 months old. I often shift gears near the redline and the heat is quite moderate.
My weight and Height is same as yours, I am really confused between 2023 ADV390 Duke(bike suits tall people like us)& INT650. My use is >50% city+Highway touring And 20-40% offroading like future entire Ldakh & Himalayan-North East trips Why I thought ADV390 coz it's tank range is 400+ kms & TFT features are OP than RE. I took test ride and feel good With RE 650 pickup-power is OP but tank range is 250 to 300kms max KTM engine also feels good but upcoming RE450 Himalayan also in mind
All new colours are ugly..and tyre depends on people as alloys are good..but my opinion it kills retro look...overall old interceptor colours was good ❤️

I have a 2022 Interceptor 650. I love the bike but I agree with all of your points.
My friend purchased gt 650 in june 2022 year, so far his experience is good with bike in terms of ergonomics and operating cost.
