    Awesome review, Jon! 😃

Cut the cord! I do agree the more you on that particular track the better you get. I couldn’t feel latency at first on SIM. But since switching tap too I do feel it.

Isn't there a slight latency in real life flying anyway?

  • @Guilefpv

Would your home wifi at 2.4ghz affect the latency? That's something that you don't have flying outdoors in open fields.

i actually had not thought of that, but you could be right! Got a ton of devices exchanging wifi all around me. Its pretty minimal. I cant really even "feel it" but notice slightly faster lap times on certain tracks.

Can't you do this already w the ELRS lua script? There's a BLE joystick option for this

i believe you can do a similar setup wiring up a receiver to a flight controller and then plugging into usb to the computer. But then its kind of a messy setup, and with FC prices today, its just easier to do this route.

@@JonE5FPV yea agreed but I'm talking about the Bluetooth joystick functionality, it's in the lua script called BLE joystick. You run it and connect via Bluetooth on your PC.

Elrs already supports wifi joystick mode so why would i need this 😅?

lower latency, using the actual ELRS protocol to transmit

I don’t notice a difference between monitors with different refresh rates. I do have a spektrum wireless dongle I’ve used for years and the latency using that is quite obvious compared to wired. I’m definitely tempted to try this. I would definitely prefer to be wireless.

It really is nice to not have cords everywhere when you try to sim on the couch.

$45 bucks? I thought I saw wireless simulator dongles before for more like $20? no? I'm sure they weren't ELRS, but it's between PC and radio, who cares?!

The previous ones used frsky, which is sort of dying out and added more latency. if you have one already, it may be good enough, but for me this one is best of this new type.
