The voices of the characters were better in the late 90s (especially Arthur’s voice) and they’ve thrown in too many new characters that just aren’t well developed. I’m more surprised Patty let Buster go to the wedding the way he was dressed. I’m just glad Arthur still has the same humor and heart as it did when I was a kid. I was laughing throughout the entire episode and then smiled immediately at the conclusion. The kids said they wanted Mr. Ratburn to be with someone nice and caring and that’s exactly who they got. I really liked Mr. Brown's explanation and he's spot on with his beliefs. The episode was handled beautifully and it felt like the classic episodes. I wish he would've answered the question of how long the intention of Mr. Ratburn being gay has been there though, since some including myself have theorized it prior to the episode.
Poor Marc Brown, he really shouldn't be so hard on himself. What he did was a generous thing. kids needed to learn about gay relationships. Even I think that Sesame Street should talk about that, but Marc Brown did the right thing by creating it
Kids are only being presented ONE view on the issue. Not even all LGBT people agree with SS marriage.

seriously i love that he did this, yes i know that it’s not really shocking to see gay characters anymore, but with a platform like pbs it’s publicly funded, meaning it’s funded by private or public donations, and with those donations may come in with christian or religious parents ( not all though) and with that being in mind, that’s why personally i think it’s brave and amazing to have this in the show💕💕💕💕
