- SHEPTON MALLET PARKRUN Event #292 - Sub 25 Challenge!
SHEPTON MALLET PARKRUN! A great parkrun located to the South West of England around Collett Park! This slightly hilly parkrun utilises surfaced paths with a mixture of tarmac and gravel paths and is a very aesthetic parkrun! Join me as I provide an in-depth review of the Shepton Mallet Parkrun experience.
This is a three-lap course, which is mostly flat with a couple of slight hills. Due to some pathways being narrow dogs aren't allowed at Shepton Mallet parkrun. However, if you're participating with a buggy please contact the team in advance for further information. There are toilets near to the start on the park grounds. As the route is on hardstanding paths, road shoes are fine. However, for those who have trail shoes I would recommend them. In terms of how busy the parkrun is, it has an average number of participants of around 141. This is a little bit of an issue on the course as there are tight sections, however, as the run goes on and everyone spreads out, there is plenty of room to maneuver. With it being a slightly hilly parkrun, it is not one for a PB!
It was a great day, the sun was shining and the park was very nice itself! The atmosphere was great and there were some great volunteers to keep you going! This is the 39th parkrun I have recorded of which you can find a playlist of them on my channel!

I will be doing parkruns all over the UK and rest of the world! Every Saturday I take part in a 5K run trying my hardest to get under 20 mins. Shepton Mallet Parkrun is a parkrun towards the South of England, in Collett Park, Shepton Mallet. It is a great run to tick off the "S" on the alphabeteer challenge. @@Sheppey10 I did, I was at Millwater parkrun for their 10th anniversary! It broke their all time attendance record with 469 runners. This week I'm doing the first timers welcome for the first time at Northern Pathway parkrun, a little nervous for that but looking forward to giving it a go 🙂
