    I did that park run by accident just before the first COVID lockdown. Me and a mate were heading for the Severn crossing bridge parkrun but due to the flooding the bridge we were going to us was closed. Fortunately this run was close (ish) to the bridge and we made it there with seconds to go by sprinting to the start line. The moment we got to the group the race started and we had to run back up the same road we sprinted down. Needless to say didn’t get a PB nor crossed to Severn but still another Tourist PR done. Well done 👏 and welcome back Parkrun. Been too long.

    My fastest 5km is 30:46. It doesn't matter what I do, I can never get faster which makes me really very upset. So well done you for doing a new PB!

    I do training like this with a friend of mine too, I usually run backwards in front of her telling her that if I can do this speed backwards then surely she can run faster forwards. Getting her angry by insulting her helps too, anger is a really good motivator to push harder and dig deeper.
    Thankfully here in Australia parkrun has been back since January, I missed it so much. You guys must be so relieved to have it back finally!

    Well done Sarah and great mentoring Andy!. I help runners round Burnley Parkrun and helped one of my new runners round to a new pb for himself.

    Ran one of my local park runs today - got a course PB (20:08 - my last run on this course in Jan 2020 was 23:50 and that was my 5km PB at the time), it's a fairly slow course so fairly happy with it - only 10 seconds off my overall 5km PB which hopefully means on a decent course I could beat my PB.

      Can you possibly run sub 20 in a fast course?

    • @nathanbaker1727
      @nathanbaker1727 2 года назад

      @@felroberto I can now, I ran my new PB of 18:45 about a month ago! Closest I've got on my local park run courses is 19:01 though!

    Well done Sarah...you smashed it. You could have given old PB Sarah a 45 second head start and clipped her at the finish. Also well done Andy with your positive yet firm comments to keep our girl going.

    That was MASSIVE! Great job, Sarah! So proud of you. I'm stuck at 20:25 since 2020 - I barely managed a sub 21 a year ago and I can't wait to smash that 20 minute barrier and your run inspired me a lot to get after it! (plus you're super cute) :D

    Well done, Sarah.
    There is no greater feeling of finishing your run when you don’t feel like running, and shear exhaustion immediate after is turned to shear jubilation of completing your running goal for the day.

    Well done Sarah. Smashed your PB. My parkrun PB is 19:54 Which i got on my local courses 100th event. Unfortunately living in NSW in Australia we are back in lockdown so no parkrun for us at the moment.

    Fantastic work, Sarah!!!! Well done on the PB - that was clearly hard work (but I suspect you have more to give and an improved PB yet!) I've been training hard and have brought my 5K PB down by 1 minute and 19 seconds to 22:21, but currently have an injury so can't test myself at parkun yet.
