It's getting to the point where them bringing back 1-2 of their most popular old cases back and marketing it as a retro case might be commercially viable. Give it a few more years.

The Antec Nine Hundred was my first "cool" PC case after years of beige boxes in the 90s and early 2000s. It really did change the game. I had so many boring cases with one or two tiny 80-90mm fans. Then with SLI and multi core CPUs starting to take off in the mid 2000s, the case cooling started to really matter. Once I finally went from just a box to the 900, it was like night and day difference.

Genuinely hyped by the mini-ITX case. And I can see the movable spine becoming a staple of the industry, after seeing the FormD T1 pioneering it, and the Fractal Terra making it popular, that's a super interesting evolution for the SFF market. Also, it looks sturdy *and* gorgeous.

Antec wasn't my first case, but at about 20 years, it's certainly the one I had the longest. Not happy when it was stolen. Full height Extended-ATX tower with six quickly removable internal vibration-dampening hard drive mounts, six external 5¼ bays, lots of fans that were well-positioned, and the power supply mount accommodated both ATX and workstation sizes. Adjustable feet for stability, too. I think it cost about $300 in 1998. I love their diagnostic tool for power supplies, recommended.

My very first build was in an Antec Sonata case. That case was replaced by the Antec 900 when it came out. Not only did Antec make extremely well built cases (the Sonata was a real show piece with a paint job better than you'd find on a modern car), they made some of the best power supplies on the market. IMO, during this time period, the only power supplies that were arguably better than Antec's were PC Power & Cooling units.
After many years of service, my Antec power supply was taken out of use due to the fact that I outgrew it, not because it failed. So glad to see Antec making a comeback. If they still have the same commitment toward quality and customer service, they'll have my business back for sure.

Glad they're making a comeback, if they make some modern retro cases I'd 100% buy one to make my old man a PC, he still talks about how great antec cases were every time we chat about cases

Good to see Antec back on cases. I recently un-retired my Super LANboy. Swapped out the fans it came with and slotted in some Noctuas. Wired up the front panel audio incorrectly (mic/phones swapped) but it isn’t a big enough deal for me to fix it. I was using a massive Coolermaster (Centurion perhaps). The Super LANboy wasn’t my first case, but might have been my first ATX case (I’m that old!).

I remember back when 80+ gold power supplies were still very expensive, Antec often had by far the most reliable low budget power supplies. They weren't the only good power supplies around, but all of the other good ones tended to be considerably more expensive. If you wanted a decent low-budget build, it almost needed to have an Antec power supply.

To Steve and the rest of the Gamers Nexus crew, thank y’all for all the hard work and information you put out for us.
I bought the ANTEC PF1 two months ago as a part of my first pc build, former laptop user, partly based on what y’all’s review of it. As a newbie builder I wanted something easy to work with and the temp display and interior space drew me to make that choice. Temp display is aight.
I like the aquarium look but dudes something about a front to back case has always made me want one.
I love it and I have become more comfortable working inside it as the weeks have passed. I maxed out the fans, LFIII with three fans in exhaust on top, three on the shroud as intake/recirculating, three on the front as intake and one in the rear as exhaust and haven’t tried other configurations since it keeps my gpu well below 75C during most games I play. Usually less than 70C. Also I was a little hesitant initially to start fucking shit up since it worked.
I will be tinkering when I get back home with the fan setup to see if anything changes, just for the fun of it. Yes that’s confidence right there.
I know y’all are busy with all the ASUS bull recently, but I really appreciate the content and the help during my decision making process.

Antec... that name brings back memories. I still have 80 mm Antec fans on the shelf (remember when those were standard?) that I bought in the early aughts (probably '02, '03 at the latest). I bought them because I got tired of the cheap case fans that wore out after three months. 2 decades on, with a light dusting, they still power and spin. If Antec is still able to produce at that quality point, they may again have a buyer here. Counting on you to check that, Steve! 👍

I'm still using my Antec 902 case from 2009 for my main build today. It's so old it only has USB 2.0 headers, but that doesn't bother me because I never use the front panel IO anyway).
It's seen 4 MOBO and CPU swaps so far. The only thing I've done is modded an acrylic side panel on, added a sensor panel, and added LED lighting strips.
And because this was one of the earliest cases that came with a painted black interior, the case still looks modern today.

This might just be nostalgia speaking, but I am actually excited!
My first 'real' nice computer case that didn't skin my knuckles and wasn't hard to put together was an Antec KS-282 . It was built like a tank and they had thicker steel than many other case OEM's, oddly enough even including the factories that made their cases who also marketed them directly (eg chieftec). I always appreciated that back then they gave us real slot covers and not the ones you had to bend out of the way and break. I personally have built hundreds of computers using their cases over the years, and I still remember with a tear in my eye going to other case vendors when their products lagged behind. I think the last case of theirs I used was a Lanboy Air. Back then they were always pushing the envelope and trying new things, and I can remember at least 6 separate times they defined a new style or type of case. I remember using an absolute ton of their Sonata cases, some I lined with dynamat back when quiet computers weren't a thing quite yet.
I know this will date me, but screw it, "Antec Outside"!!!!

The SuperLanBoy was sooo slick for it's time - super light aluminum and "THE STRAP HARNESS" it came with was the envy of all three of my PC buddies. Then you plug it in and that piercing blue LED lights up your world, speeding up your PC by SO MANY Front Side Busses! Woooo weee did I spent money I didn't have back then. I've looked around online and could not find one anywhere sadly. I think I gave it away with spare PC parts many years ago, would be great to put together an old AMD or Pentium retro build in that thing for old-times sake!
