Considering how much shit he's been through, I can't really blame him for getting angry once in a while. Dementors, Fudge's incompetence, Umbridge ruining Hogwarts, Voldemort and other dark/evil wizards rising to power, etc.
One of those dark wizards was his toxic ex-boyfriend too, who broke his heart (and possibly stopped Ariana’s) to such an extent that he swore he’d never love again and instead fully dedicated his life to education and fighting evil wizards

To be very fair, Gambon did decent in OOTP, David Yates didnt come to realize how bad we needed a new portrayal of Dumbledore until halfway thru OOTP. I noticed, Gambon very calm and jolly since the scene where he escaped from Fudge and Unbridge until the end of the saga. I feel like the switch happened between OOTP and HBP.

Almost every other role she’s been in just felt like another version of Hermione. The only exceptions I can think of are The Bling Ring and Little Women

It baffles me how those in a position of decision making allowed one of the most important characters in the series to be portrayed in way that was totally alien to the source material. Especially when a perfect example had already been provided by a previous actor.
If we take away the meme, the first actor of Dumbledore was Like he was supposed to be in the book, and the second didn't read any book of Harry Potter, this is why he is like this ... But for me its one of the best additions of the movies, I fricking love the angry Dumbledore you can feel how Dumbledore can be dangerous some times.
Not just that, but Dumbledore is off-kilter for a good deal of Goblet of Fire. He knows there's some plot, but he can't put the pieces together. Its the one time in the series where he's not certain that his plans will pay off. I actually really liked when Harry emerges from the Pensieve and Dumbledore confides in him that he has searched and searched, but can't find the way through. But by the end he knows he had won, hence his attitude shift back in the rest of the series. I personally think it makes him a more dynamic character.
