Fun fact: Because of the difficulty of obtaining a filming permit in Japan, many of the driving scenes through Tokyo were actually filmed in California and altered with CGI, including the Shibuya Crossing scene. Some scenes, namely arial shots and less actiony scenes, were shot in Japan, "illegally" though. Universal Studios hired a fall guy that would claim to be director Justin Lin in case trouble and cops arrived. This man was actually arrested and spent a night in jail after the crew was kicked out after shooting a scene in Shibuya. The real definition of "Family" haha

@@TalooshDaBoss they can't because the separate map is not in the right scale but it's in their plan to build it from scratch
They're already working on it, but modeling it from scratch. It will take a long time to get everything up to good quality, but john has confirmed that they started working on it already

@@RogueBeatsARG No, it's quality is mediocre at best. It was ripped by soyo from some mobile game iirc. And the scaling is completely different to the one of shuto, so it's more useful to redo the entire thing

Their attention to detail is awesome. I lived in Yokohama and would take the train into Shibuya every weekend for ab three years so I'm gonna have a lot of fun flying through those streets now.
Seeing this makes me want another Tokyo Extreme Racer game 😂 that was so amazing back in the day.

@@gaijingabber1056 After playing Gran Turismo with all assists off, Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport with all assists off, R Factor, Live for Speed, Assetto Corsa and racing IRL, I just can't get back to arcade race games.
I started off with arcade and slowly when from arcade to arcade/sim to full on sim. I don't want to go back to arcade. This mod is the arcade JDM games made into a sim.(Inital D, Wangan series).
@@SI0AX I feel you but if you haven't played it its different from any other racing game, the only one thats anywhere like this is racing lagoon but its quite different than that, its the only arcade racer I ever go back too, even the second one on dreamcast has the most satisfying handling model to tune and tweak, you could spend your monney wrong and end up not being able to finish the game as quick as it would be to restart, the one on 360 has cockpit view andbits not the best but the best between sim and arcade for the series, you also race traffic and have boss battles that are insanely difficult, most games don't have car clubs with their own members with names and descriptions. The health bar cat and mouse fighting game mechanic is one of the greatest gaming systems than no one has ever replicated since, a shame

I've been there in around 2018 when the train car model in front of the Hachiko statue was still occupied by Hello Kitty. I don't know if it's still like that today, but I do miss Shibuya.
Kunos should really give the guys at SRP some recognition if they haven't already, they actively support the modding community.

AC keeps getting better and better thanks to the awesome community. Hotlaps? Yeap. Freeroam like Forza Horizon? Yeap. Modern and vintage racing? Yeap. As much as i prefer the feel and immersion (VR) on rFactor2, AC is definetly my go to Sim (especially because of the facilities of CM). Thanks for the Vídeo Bud. Cheers from Brazil!

Beamng is knock off ac. Most if not all of the really good mods are cracked imported versions from ac tracks or mods
