Amazing story 😍 God bless his heart 🙏 he really is a good man to have patience in looking for that watch! Oh my oh my can’t thank him enough! God Bless ya’ll 🙏
A very beautiful story of the celebration of friendship, and the gift of a lost wrist watch! The guy who found the wrist watch is definitely a wonderful, thoughtful and selfless individual -'his kindness brought so much happiness to two old women. God bless them all!
She really is! You know how some people grow up, and it seems like they NEVER could have been kids? Not her! She became an adult, but, her heart never lost touch with those fun-filled days! And, I must say that the lake seems like a wonderful place to be a kid!
I like Mary's New England accent, it reminds me of my maternal grandfather, who passed away a long time ago to cancer. My maternal grandmother's name was Barbra just like Mary's best friend, and my grandfather would pronounce it the exact same way as Mary did (they were from Massachusetts). Watching this story brings back wonderful memories of my grandparents. And what a true miracle and blessing about the watch!
Having grown up on a fairly remote lake (ten miles outside of a small town way out in the country), I can attest that spending time in nature changes you, centers you in what is real. The wind and water around you; cloud boats above you scudding across an azure sky; in the darkness, the moon fixed overhead in a starry night with a chorus of little frogs (ribbitt-ribbitt) to grand, deep-voiced, organ-pipe sounding bullfrogs (RIBBITT-RIBBITT!) --- all of this calls out to the listening ear, to the watchful eye of some magnificent Reality, just on the other side of seeing, of hearing. This is what happens when you turn off the tv, the computer, the cell phone, the radio, the MP3 Player, the stereo. . .and you begin to listen to the quiet.
Everyone wearing watches - the days before cellphones. Watching this on my cellphone : ) Nice story. They were blessed to be friends as girls and to have all those summers together at the lake. Very blessed.
What a beautiful man this shows that there are good people around us, if we had more people who care can you imagine how great our world would be? 🌈💕🇦🇺🦋x
What a very kind man. I began sort of eye rolling over why he would go to the trouble. After seeing the result of the find, I get it now. I hope there are more people like him out there.
That's such an amazing story . I lost a princess ring that my grandmother gave me . The 1st time it went missing , I found out my younger cousin took it . Her mother ( my aunt ) gave it back to me . Then one day I went swimming. I told my mother to hold it for me . She put it in her black purse , but then she told me I never gave it to her . I argued with her about it , but it didn't do any good . I was only 11 years old . My mother had a new husband at the time . Later on I realized what kind of person he was , so I believe he stole it or one of my mother's friends . I wish my grandmother had waited about giving it to me until I got a little older . I still say my mother or her husband had something to do with . I've always been very good about taking care of my stuff . I have things that I've had since I was a little girl . I figured well....I might not ever get another one , so I better take care of what I do have . My mother tells me you can take better care of things better than anyone I know .
Awwww.... That reminded me of how my little baby girl would always hand me things when she ran off to play. And I never really bothered to notice where I put down those things. And when she came back to me, she'd ask about those things, and I'd never remember where her little treasures were. If I could have a do over, I'd guard her things well. It means a lot to a child.
No need to dwell on such things sister, just keep the love of the Lord in your heart and remember life isn't about stuff in the grand scheme of things, it's simply us being put through a simple test to find out if we are worthy of walking in the kingdom of heaven, once our pit stop here on earth is over. It's all about your love for the Lord, and how you use the personal gifts he's given you, or should I say, if you figure out what gifts he's blessed you with, and if you in turn, use those in a way that honors and glorifies the Father above. Stuff is still temporary no matter who gives it to who, but the emotions that come from giving and receiving great gifts is something that stays with us always! God bless you sister, always!
How many generations of a distant relative are you to Jean Jacques Rousseau? One of my favorite philosophers. "What wisdom can you find that is greater than kindness " ~ Jean Jacques Rousseau ~
Well I can tell you Maine is beautiful, I've been fortunate enough to call it home for the short 38 years I've been walking this beautiful creation of the Lord's known as earth, I don't know exactly where this lake is, but I would love to find out one day, and diving sounds like a blast up there, who knows, perhaps I'll get lucky and find my way there one day.
Read the Bible so you will see that Jesus hates idolatry worshio of Saints and Mary. We are to pray to the Father in Heaven in the name of Jesus.💙💙💙💐🕊🕇!
I had the pleasure of visiting Maine (a place about a half an hour from the place in this story) for a week about six and a half years ago. It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been!
years ago while swimming at a Lake , someone called out that he lost his expensive watch while swimming .. about 6 or so fellow swimmers and I started searching the bottom of the lake for the watch .. much to my surprise I found it on the lake bottom .. instead of a thank you , the guy accused me of trying to steal it .. the other swimmers came to my defense and the guy backed off .. After that I promised myself I will never again help someone search for a lost item
Happened to me too.. first day on my first job ever.. an old employee lost her ring. Everyone looked for it but couldn't find it. At almost time to go home, i remembered her cleaning her table and dumping stuffs on the trash can beneath her table. I picked it up and shook it, and beneath those trash there's an unmistakable sound of an object banging it's sides! I looked around inside and fish out the ring! And i thought i'd get a thank you! But no, it was the other way around, i was acussed of taking it.
3 yrs back while out fishing, i lost a ring my daughter gave me for Mothers Day. Had it with me for 11yrs. Had took it out and kept the ring in my porch bag. Regreted taking it off so I went back to the beach to search for it the next day. It sadden me till this day cos i couldnt find it. Taught me a lesson, no jewelleries while going to the beach.
@@FamilyTime_TV Well the ring is a sentimental value for me. Whoever the lucky person is..can keep it. Im not cetain if it would be return to me . I told myself is not possible.
There is still the challenge of returning the watch to her Aunt, you don't think they've forgotten about that. My step-dad died 37 years ago and before he died he said, "When I'm in the casket at my funeral I expect those that owe me money need to put the amount inside, and I don't take checks."
Does anyone know what episode is that a black lady from Winston Salem, NC finds her mom after being adopted at birth? Been looking for this episode forever..
I suppose the leather ban was eaten by fish over the 68 years, I would have looked for a ban that belonged on that type of watch and was about 70-80 years old to put on. The letter would have said the watch was found directly where you lost it and the ban was made around the time of the watch.
@@FamilyTime_TV ohh I just found you guys. But I'm glad youtube is here. Thanks for what you do. Love all the episodes ❤ it gives me hope to.human kind.
I love the story but I have questions. Why wouldn’t Mary call her friend Barb right away when the watch was found? Why would she give Greg the phone number of Barb’s son and have him call? those things didn’t make sense to me.
It's a beautiful story, but I always ask questions no one else thinks to ask. Does it or can it be made to work again? I knew no one else would even think of asking this question! Lol
How beautiful and wonderful this story is
Beautiful loving kind thoughtful man. friends together again yay!!!!!!
This is God’s way of putting friends together. Aunty Dorothy’s watch was the channel for the two best friends to meet again. ✌️
Amazing story 😍 God bless his heart 🙏 he really is a good man to have patience in looking for that watch! Oh my oh my can’t thank him enough! God Bless ya’ll 🙏
This is very touching
God is the giver of All good things.
This man was very kind to do all of this for this woman.
A very beautiful story of the celebration of friendship, and the gift of a lost wrist watch! The guy who found the wrist watch is definitely a wonderful, thoughtful and selfless individual -'his kindness brought so much happiness to two old women. God bless them all!
She’s a great story teller!!! Simply amazing 😉
She really is! You know how some people grow up, and it seems like they NEVER could have been kids? Not her! She became an adult, but, her heart never lost touch with those fun-filled days! And, I must say that the lake seems like a wonderful place to be a kid!

Grew up in Maine and my aunt had a place on a lake. Loved canoe and swimming and listening to the loons sea gulls and wind in the trees.
That was very kind of you to look for that watch, and give it to Barbara for her 80th BD.
What memories for Both ladies. 💕 You sir are one of a kind❤👍
GOD Bless him for a wonderful thing you did.
I miss John boy Walton. Brings me right back to the early 1970s.. great story.

Noticed players don't have Maine accents. Greg and Mary are comforting memories of home
So awesome
I am lucky I already live in Maine!!!
I was born in Bangor and lived in a little town between Bangor and Luzerne. That lake was absolutely breath taking and I spent many a summer there :)
I had the pleasure of visiting Maine (a place about a half an hour from the place in this story) for a week about six and a half years ago. It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been!

FreedomFighter 2017 that is so sad - but don’t let one nasty person dim your light 🙏
Same thing happened to me. Ugggh. People are very sadly paranoid.

It sounds like you might want to rent a metal detector for a day/week and try and find it. It's possible it's just under a few inches of sand.
If only it had been found while the Aunt was still alive but it was at least found and reinstated.
There is still the challenge of returning the watch to her Aunt, you don't think they've forgotten about that. My step-dad died 37 years ago and before he died he said, "When I'm in the casket at my funeral I expect those that owe me money need to put the amount inside, and I don't take checks."

It is not currently airing on broadcast TV. This dates back to the millennium. We will see, though, what the future may bring...

It's a beautiful story, but I always ask questions no one else thinks to ask.
Does it or can it be made to work again? I knew no one else would even think of asking this question! Lol
There are probably a few people in Switzerland that could fix that old waterlogged watch.
It would be an even more amazing miracle if the watch worked.
outside of the saint Anthony nonsense that John boy mentioned the main story was good
How strange to waste so much time for some strangers - this man was not a family man or he would not have so much time to waste !
In the introduction we see a man pushes a child off a raft in a river. What is the story behind it?
? ? ? But does the watch Keep On Ticking????
