  • In this video, I show how to make Moke Naw Mai (ໝົກໜໍ່ໄມ້), which is shredded bamboo shoots, with or without meat, wrapped in banana leaves, and steamed.
    This is mostly in Lao language. English annotiations will be available soon.

    "Ma Der, Ma Der" means "Please come join us" in Lao language.

    Nana, I know you said there will be English annotations soon, but think a list of English ingredients and amounts in your description box would suffice most non-Lao viewers...but if you did both, that would be even more awesome. But I know it's a lot of work and so a list would be the easiest and most useful (doesn't even need the directions, just a list of ingredients and amounts). Just my two cents. Thanks again for posting all these delicious recipes!

    I dont why. Not helpful.. Because I dont understand Laos language when you're explaining each ingredient. 2/3 laos and 1/3 English is not helping me make this dish.

      James Donaire thank you for your feedback. This video was from 4 years ago and we were still trying to figure out the audience. My newer videos are almost entirely in English, with English subtitles whenever I say something in Lao.
