Watched a few podcasts of John doing the album promotion, but this one was above and beyond. Respect for asking the authentic questions and getting the authentic answers. This is what the true fans want to hear.
Saw Summit perform on a Sunday after noon with zero production right when Covid was ending. Was sick to see the rise from that to the insane production at his shows
@@humanactivated1017 he doesn’t exactly come off as the most “artistic” person. From the outside looking in he seems like a douchey frat guy hopping on the house music wave for the partying/girls and not for the music, but that’s not the case
hes not an industry plant, hes just who the music industry wants to promote cuz he makes money. good looks and good music. not a lot of ugly house artist. mau p, dom dolla, diplo. they gotta have something that sells tickets.
Couldn’t post that Diddy pod b/c it’s so embarrassing to hear yourselves huff copium while asking for money on video? That you have covered NY hip hop for 20 years and never reported this is disgraceful. That you refuse to report on the truth behind Kendrick’s shots at Drake shows - you all care about access to monsters no matter what those monsters do to real people. And then you try to justify it all with the pathetic fig leaf of ‘actually it’s abt objectivity in journalism’! When The NY Times is the only org left that believes in ‘objectivity’ AND NOW CHARGES YOY FOR ACCESS TO IT. “Retire, B” - Danny Devito
With all due respect to John Summit, you guys are talking to the wrong guy you should be talking to Knock2 who is way more underground and way more indicative of where the youth and EDM are heading.
Saying bass music is “more indicative of where the youth and edm is going” is quite the generalization to make. Dance music culture is beautifully diverse, and it goes way beyond just one of its niches.
@@jackkerry4137 a pop podcast that apparently wants to have a discussion about EDM. Also i made a relative statement, in absolute terms hes of course not underground. keep those laughing emojis out of it boomer.

Guys a beauty! Great episode!
can't wait for Chicago showww
Gotta say, John Summit is much cooler and more knowledgeable about music than you’d expect
Why were your expectations so low ?
you can literally watch him doing production tutorials on his youtube channel before he became famous

Facts
That's hilarious you think that's true. He starting gaining traction after his first hit and has good management
I love John! But the crowd he draws in usually is the worst. All drunk, phones out, and no ones dancing
John better stop doing drugs, that nose has a few years left before destruction
john summit has never made an underground tune in his life what is this jawn on about
you're tripping. everything before deep end was some pretty underground tech. Stimulate, after-hours, illusions, acid trip, etc
You probably John summit after “where you are”

This is a pop podcast lmao, why tf would they interview Knock2 😂 also knock2 is not even close to underground
Knock 2 is the opposite of underground
